Morning drive Manual GT3

I didn't know that. Does it put any additional stress on the transmission components?

Putting the gear selector into drive adds additional stress, this is no different and if it's any consolation, it's been designed for it.

You "could" try to flatshift any car, but it causes very high mechanical wear, most cars are NOT designed for it. Porsche has designed the manual with an electronic up and down blipshift which controls the process, eliminating the aggressive slippage and wear which would normally occur. Try this technique in a car without this function and you'll see what I mean.
No need for the Sport button for the power shifts.

In motorcycles and the way their transmission works, you should definitely give a slight lift while shifting, but you don't need to use the clutch. The physical dimensions of gears allow you to shift up without engaging the clutch, but it SHOULD have a little slack in there in order to keep all components happy for a nice long life.

Oh nice! I was gonna comment about how fast the shifts are and ask if you were flat-shifting but everyone beat me to it. Seems like a really cool feature and this is the first vid I've seen where it shows just how fast it is.

Yes it can make for a very quick shift. GT3 KSA has a very fast Dundon’d 991.1 GT3 (His car pulls on a 991.1 Turbo S) and we raced couple of times. Nothing lost to shifts between the two cars and we were pretty much head to head depending on who goes first. You have to turn off tracation on a manual car as it comes on when doing quick shifts especially 1-2 and 2-3 shifts.
Hopefully we can make proper videos next time we try.

Thanks for sharing! I was not aware of this feature and I think it is pretty cool
You are lucky to have roads like this,
I would not even try to hit 300kph... They seize your car at that speed up here
