Good stuff. On exhaust note - the same is the case with many other cars, where more junior wannabe models have a more expressive exhaust sound but real performance ones need to be flogged to produce something impressive. I don't mean it as any criticism to GT4 - it's a great car, and I loved that Porsche made it. But we are probably at the point where internal combustion engines are so efficient where getting good power leaves too little to play with for exhaust note, and a fancy exhaust note, especially at lower revs, is an artificial (in a sense that it's not relevant to performance) MSG-enhanced taste produced by manufacturers for less discerning masses.

Lovely car! It’s perfect and the leather trim is pretty good looking. Also, love the painted emblems!

Thanks for all of the positive comments, all. Loving the car more and more with every passing mile!
Sadly, that wasn't me. I drove by Laguna on the New Year's Day and just swung in for the photo op, since the track was closed. Love Laguna though, and am looking forward to taking the GT3 out for a spin there. Will be quite a different experience from what I'm used to there (Spec Miata)!
That'd make sense. Love the MSG analogy. I really did enjoy the backfires and burbles from the GT4, and I'm sure that the new owner...whenever I get around to posting it for sale...will too. I'll trade off all of that for this 9k RPM wail and seemingly endless thrust. What a machine!!!
Haha! Unbiased my *** I've been tortured by your photos for the past few months while waiting for this car to arrive. Now I can really relate to your love for the color combo - it's even more stunning in person than photos can do justice! Hope you're enjoying yours as much as I am mine.
Were you at laguna on 12/31 with speedSF? I thought I saw a red GT3 on track, but didn't realize it was a .2. The .2 that I was driving ended might have the same problem you did and it would certainly explain why the GPS box stopped working. I'll check into it. Congrats and enjoy!

Incredibly beautiful car- red on black is just next level gorgeous.
And had a similar experience coming from my 981S, regarding the sport exhaust. I have to say, I miss the hooliganism of the pops and crackles on decel. How am I supposed to startle pedestrians, now?
