The high definition picture of black with aluminium trim ... you can see why a quite a few going that way. That and PTS vintage. Actually I like the look of the gold/brass looking wheels (appreciating its lighting only) on that Sapphire blue.
I'm one of the two that locked in chalk (for an April delivery now), who is other ?

I’m the other Chalk vote. Build date Jan 15, US delivery ETA mid April.
Can’t wait. This will be my first GT3 ... I finally parted with the convertibles (one 996, two 997 S). The opportunity to get one of the last naturally aspirated engines, with 9,000 rpm and a stick won me over vs a 991 GTS convertible. :-)
Color wise, black was my other favorite (my 997’s were black), but ultimately decided for something more special. It’s a beauty, build code PJAWTT42.
Wondering how many touring people think will be built? My rough math: 991.2 production run of about 6,000 GT3’s (across model years ‘18 & ‘19, about as much as 991.1, and 2x 997’s). 20% Touring, ie 1,200 GT3 Tourings globally. 1/3 US share is 400 GT3 Touring’s in US. Thoughts?
Hard to say, but we will know as Camsporsche is tracking. 23 built for the US (and one for Canada) through December 21. Not sure when they started exactly (configurator says available at the earliest 11/6/17) but figure the initial uptake is not 20%, more like 6% based on approximations of production from 11/6-12/21 total builds.
Why so low? Not sure, people who would have ordered a touring package were unaware of the option and did not change their build in time? The fact that almost all allocations were given out before the touring was known? Porsche not building tourings in the first run, bumping people back? The initial lack of PTS and still no deviated stitching (other than red) on touring?
Will it pick up? I think it will, but whether it matches or exceeds 20% I don’t know.
I am not going to touch the total GT3 number except to say that US is ~900 total as of 12/21.
Just voted, I ordered chalk also. Love the new color. Black does look nice but had black before. I think the chalk with black wheels and black trim looked the best on the touring. Don't even want
the GT3 on the side. May opt for the black Porsche along the bottom side for the black accent. Hate the buckets for everyday use so went with the regular seats. 18 way not worth the extra. Not going to track the car so
could not drive with the buckets daily plus the strip on the seats looks terrible.

W/Touring Pkg, the LWB seats don’t have stripe on seats or alcantara seat inserts at all. W/Touring Pkg, the standard LWB seat inserts are black cloth with horizontal line texture kind of like corduroy. Same fabric for the standard seats too w/Touring Pkg.

[QUOTE=smbryan;14702235]You're gonna get hammered on resale without LWB's[/QUOTE
Another know it all on Rennlist. Next time if I ask a question please advise, if I don't keep your comment to yourself. I do not care what you think.. The touring is a different car that is more user friendly for daily use. I do not want to drive everyday with buckets.

But you didn’t ask a question. Your post stated your opinion not a question. Then a Rennlister stated his opinion, based on your opinion, what am I missing here, its a public forum.
18 ways are the only seats that will "hurt" resale value IMO. LWB and 4 Ways are the way to spec. I'm on the fence between 4ways and LWB but that's the least of my worries w/out an allocation.
