Happy Thanksgiving everyone , I owned different Porsches 911's in Italy , and I still own a 991.1 carrera and a 996 carrera convertible manual with original 30000 miles ; I just got here in Miami a CPO 991.1 Gt3 , and I see that Porsche CPO in N.A. gives a warranty on the car maximum to 6 years from the original in service date . In italy actually I can extend my approved on my 991 carrera from 2012 up to 2027. There is any way to obtain the same coverage here or anyone has any news or any update on Approved program in North America? If not we should form a group, like the GT3 concerned group to ask Porsche North America to give the option to extend the approved for 15 years exactly as in Europe ( on cars produced from 2010, Gt3 and Gt3 rs included).

I’d be down with that if the price was anywhere near reasonable.

My dealer said they can’t extend beyond USA CPO 6 years unless the car is titled in their possession at the time of extension but they do sell a Toyota extended warranty program for about $1000 a year as long as the car is under 9 years in service. Plans run from 2 to 5 years so if you time it right you can add 5 years to a 8.99 year car so basically 14 years for 8K (assuming you had 6 year CPO) and it’s a zero deductible plan payable to any certified mechanic. Supposedly transferable and proratable if you cancel.

I’m tempted but still unsure if I should do it or not.
