Default When will we see 110k-115k 991.1 GT3?

Hey guys,

Sorry to be a budget hunter in the group, but I've been watching the market for a while now and waiting for a 991.1 GT3 to get to the 110-115k mark. I'm not asking for any options - pretty much looking for a car with less than 30k miles and under warranty and hasn't been abused. I'm flexible on options (or lack there of). It seems like a lot of cars I'm seeing are at 120-125k (got offered several at this price point). All the cars sold privately are just simply sitting in garage unsold. Am I crazy to think a .1 GT3 with low options and 25-30k miles should be more like 110-115k?

I'd like to think the price is correlated to current 997.2 GT3 pricing, which is sitting in your budget. Personally I'd like to see .1's get into your budget realm as I'd love to pick up a 997.2 GT3 in the 90-100k range.

Best of luck in your search.

- Chris.

Thanks Chris. I actually saw a 997.2 at 95k with 27k miles on it several months back. It went pretty quickly but I was still deciding whether to buy a GT4 or that car at the time. I think the .1 GT3 will continue to drop to my price point by feb-march. It's a waiting game right now. All the sellers I've spoken to (at 125-130k listed price) have not sold their cars yet. I think they are trying to wait the market out but it'll get worse for them as more .2 GT3 comes into port and more people let go of their .1.

I missed on a .1 which got traded in at 105k 😔 - it had almost 30k miles but still thats an insane price. Not sure what dealers are offering others on trade in.

I dont know when thats going to happen. I have had 2 GT3s a 996 and a 997.1. I noticed my 997.1 GT3 is still selling close to what I sold it for 115.
Probably depends on milage and condition.

Well, my friend last weekend just sold his 2014 991 GT3 (low MSRP, no LWB, no PCCB) with 15,000 miles wholesale to a Porsche dealer (not a trade-in, just a sale with no strings attached) for $125K, meaning the dealer is going to CPO the car and sell it for at least $137K, most probably more. I think the "market" value of the 991.2 GT3 doesn't hurt the older used ones resale value either.

Next economic downturn and you’ll have plenty to choose from in the $110k - $115k. But then you’re probably going to want to pay under $100k. The question I would ask yourself is it worth the time to wait around for the prices to come down since the market is obviously higher than $110-$115k for a clean . 1 with a warranty.

The real question is whether the 997.2 gt3 will eventually be more expensive than the 991.1 gt3

Life is short, don’t understand trying to time the market. Buy the car, drive it, and enjoy life/car.

IMO you will see this relatively soon as the .2 GT3 continue to roll in and everyone that wants one gets one. By soon I mean by June/July 2018, with a little effort, you will be able to pick up a .1 GT3 for less than $115k.

if you mean a 30k+ mile ‘14 that’s out of warranty, sure. But good low mile cars aren’t going to be anywhere near $115k by next summer.

it was my understanding all .1 GT3, at least 14s, have the extended warranty. Standard warranties expire 4 years from in service date. Very few will hit the miles limit,

Truth be told I had a chance to buy a 2014 GT3 for 120k at Mercedes of Portland a month ago. Therfore 115k is not to far off. The car had 8k miles.

Quick Reply: When will we see 110k-115k 991.1 GT3?
