This short video shows off the rear wing of a GT3 as it arrived, the paint correction and it wraps up with the final product. Not only are the defects permanently gone but we are extracting the best possible gloss and luster from the paint.
It features some time-lapse action between a before/after of a 991.2 GT3 rear wing. For those wanting to dig a bit deeper, slow the playback to .25. This shows the method I use and train my staff on.
·Correct
·Dry wipe
·Mist with 10% ISO mix
·Assess
·Proceed with next corrective step (with either the same, less or a more aggressive step depending on how the defects responded)
·Repeat until refined out.
But the ISO mix is used after each time pad touches paint. This ensures we are not packing defects with oils. The 10% mix is best for us as we do not use products intended to fill ("durable fillers" -no hate intended...but it is what it is) and we do not overheat the surface/products. And using more than 10% ISO tends to flirt with causing clear coat swelling (a less-known culprit for masking defects).
This is a great thread highlighting amazing craft.
Had no idea you were in Conyers. Do you have a recommendation for a windshield film in the Atlanta area? I've hit up two shops and 5 attempts to get ExoShield on my GT4 with no luck.

Thanks.
We may end up offering protective windshield film installations in the near future (4'ish months). For now, I can't say where you could get that done. I wish you the best though.

Well, we are actually done with everything we can possibly do for now. But there is a completion delay due to a concern the owner has with how the car was delivered. We are waiting to see if the dealership steps up to have me attempt to repair the spot or if they can convince the owner to let them have a go at it(hate to break it to them but I don't think that, in particular, is going to happen lol....not my call though). In the meantime, she is sitting at my place and until I can get closure for this area I can't do a ton to show it off.
A bit of post-paint correction, pre-PPF wrap decontamination wash action:
A full-monty service includes paint correction prior to the full-body PPF wrap. After paint correction, the corrective liquids we use become countless specs of white dust and cover a car and all the cracks/crevices. After the paint correction, but before the installation of PPF, we perform a second thorough decontamination wash. Because paint correction is expensive and the paint has no protection during this wash, added caution must be taken to not mar or scratch the paint.
FINALLY finished this GT2RS video from the first GT2RS we worked on back in 2018. Hope y'all enjoy it...it sure took forever to get this sucker produced lol!
