Okay, so here is the dilemma Im looking at currently:
- Have a 19' MY build slot (have had for awhile/prior to GT3 Touring pack being announced) and currently have it built as a Touring pack.
- However, with the new 911T being announced, I am seriously considering ordering one of those given they have a new TT engine in it and I suspect will a complete blast as a DD/weekend car. This would then lead to me changing the GT3 Touring back to a standard GT3 (with a wing).
What are the general thoughts about adding those two cars as the 'stable' at this point? Ive had plenty of GT3's in the past, so almost more excited about the wannabe 'R's

Isn't the T just Porsche charging you more for giving you 30 pounds less of car? Is that 30 pounds going to make that much of a difference?
I know there are a few other things they added to the car (PASM standard, light weight glass, optional rear wheel steering, etc.) but is it cheaper to option out a base Carerra the way you want vs. buying a T? (Disclaimer: I have not run all the numbers of how much the optional equipment that is provided standard would cost, so maybe it is a deal?)
If you have the $$'s for the two cars then go for it if it's what you want. But if you just want a good weekend car I would stick with the GT3. Just MHO. Also you could DD the GT3 when you want to, I have.

You would be Porsche's dream customer, doubling down on an outgoing model. I would get one or the other, then see what the 992 has in store...I expect it will be great, similar to the changes from 996>997.

This is where I'm at too. I'm having a hard time justifying another 991. I want to upgrade the M2 but I think I'm on hold until 992 time.

I like the 991T, but it’s primary appeal to me in LWBs and some lightweight/sport/performance options on the base spec so with an incoming GT3T it seems redundant. The rumor mill has the 992.1 getting big power increases from the same 3.0 turbo engine as the 991.2 and some subtle styling changes on the outside and digital dash on the inside. I don’t see it as a 996 to 997 leap as the 991 is not 996 in the styling department.

If you track get the GT3. If you don't track get the 911T. Much of the GT3 is lost if you don't track it or have regular access to awesome and somewhat unrestricted mountain roads.
Don't get two 911's, they are too much alike. Get a different brand for that money and enjoy a truly different driving experience.
