I bought my C4S 18 months ago for $91k from the same dealer. They too it in on a trade with 8k more miles for $80k. I doubt I could have done $7k better selling the car myself.

But I agree that a decent part of that carry over sales tax was lost because of the lower trade value.

Edit: To be fair I'm only paying half the sales tax due to the value of my trade-in, but otherwise it would have been $195K out the door.
When I say the GT3 isn't a $200k+ car, I'm just talking about the purchase price (whether it's MSRP or with an ADM). I'm not including sales tax, reg/title, clear bra, tint, etc.

Yeah, there's quite a few over $180K MSRP GT3 out there.

I've found 67 GT3 so far and about 1/4 are over $180K.

Yep, its sucks big time. It's based on the vehicles MSRP. A "normal car" in the $40k range is about $850. But the GT3 is going to be around $3400 based on our DMV's estimator.

I just did the estimate for a 918 assuming it was new. I would have to pay roughly $88k in sales tax and $17.5k in registration fees each year. That's more than what I paid for my 991.1 C4S.

The bottom part of that list has to be dealer spec'ed cars...no way that many people are getting the bose option. Guard Red with a $188k+ sticker, that's a lot of box checking right there.

Only six people got the free wheel color? That is shockingly low. I would be third on the list and that is with LWBs and lift and almost $1k of additional options (tank, autodim, fire extinguisher).

Yup, with Sapphire blue I'm under $160k and with Miami Blue I'm a few grand over $160k.

What else did you get to get it that high? PCCB? LEDs and Leather?

Someone should order one with just the free options or maybe just the tank for $140. It would still be a great car.

I would have been happy to pay $13k for PTS (had it worked out), but I cringe every time I clicked an option. $700 for autodim is ridiculous, but now I am driving home in the dark every day and I get blinded by some SUV I remembered why I clicked. I should really drop the lift as I got to the point I could basically off-road my lotus without scraping, but slowing down to 1 mph and taking things at a 45 degree angle or even a 45 degree angle from the wrong lane gets old fast. I mean I still do it in the 993 out of habit mainly, but I make up for it taking speed bumps without slowing down in the trucks.

Paying $1200 to get wheels in a different color is crazy to me but everyone seems to be doing it. Based on these orders the silver wheels will be the rare ones!

Buckets, full leather, CF dash pieces, PDLS, red belts/wheel, black wheels, lift, and a few other minor things.

Pretty extravagant for a bean counter.
