TTS are common and depreciate like a rock. There are a few for sale CPO at multiple Porsche dealerships around me with low miles and 1-2 years old for $60K off MSRP. You’ll always be able to buy one later anytime if you want, for far less than buying a new one. TTS is great daily: fast, quiet, comfortable, back seats, all luxury options.
GT3T will be far more rare and hold value far better. And it will also be the more visceral driving experience, even if not as fast in a straight line as TTS. But not as comfortable or as daily driveable as TTS.
Unless you think you’d find GT3T driving experience unpleasant for your use, then choice is easy.

As you may have seen, I’m on ED—but instead of my GT3, Porsche gave me a TT. Great car, stinking fast and comfy...great long distance and daily driver. But...it lacks any soul or emotion. Just does everything well without fuss and commotion. If that’s what you want, problem solved. For me, I want my sports cars to be an eventful experience...loud, raucous, feel and hear everything. Turning the key is special. My GT3.1 did that, my RS does that. Sadly this TT does not. But for a daily and long distance cruiser, damn hard to beat.

That’s my analysis also, and I was curious where the OP got that huge discount number from? The 2017’s have been put for a year now, and Porsche slowed TTS supply and discounts are less than 10% now with low miles.

When I had my loud-raucous-feel-hear-everything GT3, I found it tiresome after short drives. But it was Cup car spec'd and on the street was a bear to live with.
So using the 3 bears analogy... not to hot... not to cold..... something just right is the holy grail I'm after.

Peter I'm wondering how loud the car will be in the cabin.
Pleasant engine note is one thing when spirited driving, loud droning tire roar is draining if on a road trip.
Me think the GT3T is more you at the present.
