Increasingly more and more dealers seem happy with the ADM trade to fair-weather buyers and PCNA seems more interested in figuring out how they can get their slice of it (PTS increase, delivery fee add on etc.).

Wow.. if they are willing to let a customer like you walk.. they must have a bunch of morons spending wayyyy over for cars.. Glad to hear you aren't taking the crap and moving on.. They lose in the long run.

Ummmmm you easily can. First you can walk into Mclaren and buy a 720s easily and they are at least as fast but most likely in a straight line faster than the GT2RS, second you can go buy a Huracan for 200k and send it to UGR (spend another 80k-120k??). Youll get back a 2,000 HP street legal supercar that drives like stock until you drop the hammer and it will have 10 car lengths on the new GT2RS in a drag race, it will whoop the 2Rs so badly in acceleration in every test possible, im talking complete annihilation, and thats all in 280,000..............not a 2RS for 330k plus a 200k markup to a 530k car.

whatever you do please dont debate the above, those are indisputable facts, the STREET LEGAL UGR Huracan is that fast.

Id never do it, Huracan isnt for me and i dont need that kind of power, im just backing up the previous point made. and the Ring is another story but sorry 99% of us are driving on the street, not the ring, and even if we were at the ring, 99% of that 1% dont have the skill to hit those record lap times in either car.

This horse has been beaten.

1. Porsche could give a rats a$$ about what we think. AP said they would make enough GT3’s for all that wanted them, lie. He also said they were going to control the flipping, it is worse. Lie.

2. Business is good and they could care less that one guy took his 4 Porsche orders and went to a different brand. Could care less.

3. OP typically RL thread. Talking about ADM’s. Not one RL regular is going to come on here and tell you they paid a huge ADM for this car as they are going for right now. Trust me they all are getting them for MSRP, never mind the trade or the donation to the dealers “charity fund” etc.

Are you joking? Get over into the turbo section of this board. There are people ON THIS BOARD that have modified turbos that will smoke the GT2RS in the quarter mile. Maybe it will get the jump off the line because of PDK, but there are a number of people that have 1000+hp 991 and 997 turbos.

SamboTT on this forum sells all the parts to make one, that's where I got my stuff. Mine's still being built.

I am not saying a modded turbo will beat the GT2RS in a Nurburgring time....that is a special party trick. What I *am* saying is that there are PLENTY of modded cars that will eat it. UGR was mentioned, and Alpha 18 GTR will do it, I could go on and on.

700 crank horsepower is not that much.

Check this thread out. Modded 1890hp 997 GT2 runs an 8 second 1/4.

That is a good two seconds faster than the new GT2rs....

for sure it is possible to built serveral different cars for 300k which are fast - 1/4 mile, racetracks, ring, ...

comparing stock cars with full warranty and stable value with modified cars is not worth it.

i signed for a 488 "GTO" - was also quite tough but made it it seems.
as all the "special editions" Ferraris is the 488Speciale/hopefully named GTO also quite hard to get - especially in US i guess (based on the big distance to the famiglia in Modena ).
it will be slower - a bit.
but it will have no "PTS" limitation - and - ... --> drama.
i´m pumped for Geneva 18.

It’s crazy when you can’t spend $300k on a car. My dealer placed on order for me, it’s in the system as I accidentally found out. However I suspect it won’t get filled given non-918 status. It sucks bc I average 2-3 Porsche’s a year, including GT cars. Oh well. I like my GT3RS.1, and my manual GT3.2 should be fun. However it sucks when people like me who want these cars to drive, not flip and store, can’t get one. I agree about brokers, wtf?

To spec a decent one out is $400k plus tax. To pay an ADM over that is absurd. But that's me.

Dealer on the phone claimed to have sold two GT2RS allocations for $400k over MSRP. I doubt that is true but I guess it is possible that the right whales paid that much cash in the initial flurry of interest. Same dealer offering first half 2018 GT3 allocations for $50k over MSRP.

I have brokers telling me they can pay me 150k for an allocation if I can find one for less I keep the change. This is a fact.

Also- RL does not represent the entire population, just the educated or veteran population. We as a group know more and care more.

There will always be those who will pay to be the first to have something...it then gets too much publicity and everyone thinks everyone is doing it.

Porsche said they intend to weed out the flippers...I guess we will see.

Given some of the premiums paid for early 911Rs, I have to believe there are plenty of people out there that'll pay six figures over for a 2RS. I was provided some 911R purchase information in confidence about what a few folks paid for a number of early 911Rs and it made my eyes water.

$400k over for a GT2RS and $50k over for a GT3? Please name this dealership so we can have a good laugh and troll them. I'll make them the honorary King of the Stealers in my signature.
