Great tour! The yellow GT3 (S-OP 7699) is frequently "hunted" by carspotters. The colour is clearly not "Saffran" - I have seen this color in person, it has a deep metallic appearance, with a golden "hue". This color is "Signalgelb" IMHO. Here are some other shots.

It may be your pack of Porsches on the D500 was us.

Five of us were heading back to UK at the end of a Factory Tour including RUF at Pfaffenhausen, Porsche museum at Gmund and the factory and museum in Stuttgart. Leaving Stuttgart we headed for Baden Baden and south on the Schwartzwald Hochstrasse before crossing the Rhine to an overnight just north of Besancon. Then a run north through champagne country on champagne roads including a sequence of D959, D928, D996 to an overnight just south of the Tunnel.

We had spotted you earlier and weren’t sure whether you were unmarked police.
