Socialism is regulated capitalism, too -- you can own your toothbrush. You can also stand in line to buy it for the legal msrp ("affordable people's price") of $1 at a legal state store that never has it in stock, or you can get it that same day on the black market for $2 from the brother of the Polit-bureau member that regulates toothbrush sales.
Same with Porsches in "regulated capitalist" America.

Exactly correct and attempts along the way to level the playing field only move the pieces on the board, never changing the game.

When car flipping involves taking away allocations from legitimate buyers, it's akin to PIRACY in my book. The flipper is robbing from the supplier and gouging the consumer. That is what pirates do. Most buyers are not scumbag flippers like the guy suggests. That is total BS based on some outlier examples that let him sleep at night and justify his BS existence.
The same people that claim 'capitalism' are the same people that claimed 'capitalism' when people were gouging floridians for bottles of water during Irma. Not exactly apples to apples, but it's the same spirit of screwing over people because it's 'fair game' even though its NOT.
That being said, I've come to realize that trying to argue the whole ADM/flipper debate is no different to trying argue politics. You'll never convince other side that you are correct, and the other side will always think you're nuts. It's a futile effort. So we just continue to throw pies at each other.

Arent people looking all over the Internet for car deals stealing from local dealers? Porsche and the dealers have to determine their business model in the context of the customer base and market forces. Remember Ferrari's must buy used first and then we'll sell you a new car? All these games are played until the economy or just the stock market tanks, or the government imposes a punitive tax on "luxury" or some such nonsense. I am not defending flipping or Porsche, I just accept the reality that life is not inherently fair, there are going to be winners and losers in life, and working is better than whining.

The flipper nonsense would largely be undone if porsche just made their GT's all the time and allowed us to order one, I'd happily pay a small deposit if I knew I could get a touring, even if it was in 2019, but I can't get on the order list and the list is reset every few years.

Trust me. ANYONE that puts more than 30 minutes of effort into a search can find one. I’m not a big new pcar buyer and live in the worst market for flippers but 2 calls early on got me a slot. Sure not a first slot. Or a pts slot. But a build committed at msrp.
Seriously its it’s not hard.
Patience is a virtue. The flippers prey on impatience.

The one caveat in my opinion is that I believe this to be the case for new cars. The used car market is, and should be, the Wild West. That's where I have no complaint as to flippers or dealerships because there is no longer a direct relationship between buyer and manufacturer other than perhaps warranty and, a third party owner has been inserted into the equation as well. A flipper like this guy should live in this used car market world where he may genuinely help an enthusiast find a car that he might otherwise not and, in that case, if he makes a few thousand bucks in the process, that's reasonable.
