I believe the stripe is optional.
Kind of surprising losing the AWD system only saved 110 pounds. Still a bit chunky at 3505 pounds. Needs Jenny Craig or something.
Now if they would only do the same with the V10 Plus!

R8's can be converted to RWD in your garage with jackstands:

RWD is very simple in the R8/Gallardo/LP560/LP570. Remove the driveline in front of the transmission and either break down the stock half shafts or buy RWD components to keep the stock parts in tact. It can be done with hand tools with the car on jack stands and takes about 3-5 hours. No permanent modifications to the car and no warning lights.

I drove Audi R8 V10 plus a couple of weeks ago 4 hours on the track and
compared to 991 GT3 RS it was a big disappointment
