With the 4-way seats you can select the "Leather interior with Alcantara / seats leather" option with either guards red or platinum grey stitching. Seats will have the stitching in the selected color. This is the option listed under "Interior Colors & Materials".

However, if you want the "Interior trim package with decorative stitching and embroidery in deviated thread" you must select either the 18-way or full bucket seats. This option will allow other colors of thread. This option was not on the 991.1 configurator and that may be what is causing the confusion.

So, yes the 4-way seats can have deviated stitching, but only in platinum grey or guards red. To get more fancy, you need other seats.

My thought process when specing my build was: how much adjustment am I going to need in a car with such small space, weight, $, it's a Porsche sports car, can't I trust them to build it with the correct driving position. 5'10" 185. Dealer had the seat in the right position for my body before I took deliver so I haven't even adjusted the seats. 4 ways, no regrets.
