Indeed, I expect it to be even worse with the 991.1 considering they made a boatload of them (in relative terms).

Across Europe and the UK now, there are over 200 991 GT3.1 RSs for sale with prices already starting to fall. Used car buyers are going to be able to pick and choose. It will be a buyers market, not a sellers.
Good, maybe that will encourage people to actually drive and/or track the car. These cars were never meant to be investments.

Tumble how far? Below prices of 991GT3? That will Push everything down with it. I don't see that ever happening. Msrp at worse. I believe Martin is right that the .2RS will be much more expensive and ADMs will be through the roof . If that occurs 991.1RS values could rise.

At my age, closing in on 60 I'm rapidly thinking more towards retirement in a 5 to
10 year window and tiring quickly of throwing $ and chasing the latest and greatest when what I have is awesome to start with . I May just keep it and enjoy it in retirement. I'll never really miss or notice that the second or two faster the new model will be at Lagun Seca anyway or the 5 second difference at the Ring. In the end who cares? Me, less and less.

In respect of the UK the above is not correct, OK fall back a bit from the Highs, yes I would agree with that but the 991RSs are still making way over its list price. Like well over 60k GBP for low miles cars.

991.2 GT3 prices will support this.

991GT3RS is one of the best 911s ever made. When all the dust settles in the next 12 months. Would easily expect prices to re test the highs.....

Did someone say the RS was an investment?....let the prices tumble....I'm going to drive and not worry at all "how much will it be worth?

Man, you just lost another allocation...You just can't stop!

Don't people become less argumentative, dogmatic, and tense as they age? Don't people who own 5 expensive sports cars become more humble?

Don't people become less argumentative, dogmatic, and tense as they age? I think you lost another allocation due to your value comment above.

I'm glad I didn't!

Back on topic, I think the .2RS is gonna be a feeding frenzy of who has the biggest wallet/most previous GT cars to trade in.

I suspect, for some owners, they are able to purchase the car, through financing or other means, but they really can't afford to drive/track the car to any extent, as the period depreciation and running costs would be too much for them to stomach. Hence, they keep the miles low, baby the car, etc. And others buy the car merely for eye candy. I think the segment of the market that a) enjoy tracking enough to make it worth the time/cost investment, b) have the money to actually cover the full cost of doing so in an RS as a period hobby expense, and c) don't choose to do it in a different car for discretionary reasons related to cost of driving style, is actually very small.

Really? Test the highs? I don't see it. You should buy a few if you believe that.

Very true. Perhaps for this reason alone I will keep my 991.1 RS and skip the 991.2 RS if I'm chosen. I am having a freaking blast with my RS, 5 track days over 10 day span last few weeks. I don't feel bad beating the crap out of it because Porsche was kind enough to make at least 10,000 of these things. Doesn't everybody have one by now?
