OT: New track toy: GT4 Clubsport

Print journalism hyperbole perhaps?
Porsche's documentation indicates to me that it's a normal PDK;

Since it was raced I assumed the team has changed the suspension already?
in stock form, the cars without the MR package have the suspension setup way too stiff and the regular car has a tendency to want to kill it's driver.
FYI The PDK is a production unit, just with 7th gear locked out. They didn't even remove it from the housing.
I run a MR car on my track as a track toy/learning car, most fun I ever had on a track. it has over 2700km already on a 4.85km track and zero problems. It just eat tires and gasoline.
Also, are you sure it has the 100L tank? That one has dual dry break valves on the hood and your car don't have that.

Oh one last thing.
Installing telemetry would be a great learning tool, try AIM systems.
The OBD port doesn't reliably output CAN bus data, you will need to order the CAN Gateway from Motorsport or Manthey. Part # MTH610700

I think you are referring to the Premier tank system with double valve (SRO Homologation) which also is MR kit extra (MTH201610
& MTH201600).
Agreed. I heard that Manthey is offering the CAN gateway, thanks for the part nr!

Congrats on the purchase. Thanks for the OT! I have been tempted to swap my GT3 track toy for a GT4CS. I would be interested in reading your comparison of the two cars on track and ownership experiences. Local race shop has one and can find me one but so far I like the ability to drive my car to and from the track. But a dedicated race car has its pluses.

OP, if you happen to come across the PMNA guys at an event make sure they take a look at your gearbox on their laptop. The early cars needed a firmware flash to fix a slow-shifting problem.
Enjoy the car and share with us your journey!

Thanks CRex! I am based in Europe, so it wouldn't be the PMNA guys but thanks for the heads-up I'll ask my shop to check if all the firmware is the latest.

Great car, I got mine in January with 2k miles and have had a blast with it. Prepping to race mine (it was raced twice previously in Pirelli Trophy Cup). Get the Trophy Kit which upgrades shocks and more, not cheap at $10-12k, but worth it. PM me if need more info, but enjoy the CS! Very predictable on track, but as you get closer to limit and turn off aids the fun begins.
