Yeah, too bad! Haku cancelled his as well. Was going to be Maritime Blue!
Sad.
I have to admit that Porsche bungled this price increase. I really think the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing at PCNA or at Porsche. Why else would it have gone up twice in two days. You can just imagine the conversation in the back halls:
"Verdammt!!! Where's Jurgen? Why is PTS only $9,000?! I told him to double it!!"
"Ok, tut mir Leid!! I just changed it to almost $13,000. Ist das in Ordnung??
Bottom line, it forced some people to drop out. If they had somehow notified people beforehand it would have been much better. But then again, the whole PTS process is so difficult this is just par for the course.

Even with the price increase, there are five people in the queue for each person who backs out, trust me.

Someone should do a study of 991.1 GT3 and see how much of a premium PTS adds to the resale value. My guess looking at the ads is that it is about $13k.
If Porsche is all about getting the flippers out of the game (how many GT3 flippers are there? It is not an RS where there is a clear profit to be made.) then this makes sense. I think (hope) Porsche realizes that it does no one any good (especially Porsche) to have stacks of low miles used GT3 and GT3RS cars for sale and that the cars should be bought and driven by their owners as intended. I think a lot of the dealers know this as the used GT3RS are not selling at all at the $230k plus asking prices. The same ones for sale have been for sale for months and we are creeping up on fall (relevant to the part of the country with seasons). I am willing to bet come spring next year with GT3 delivers in full swing that the GT3RS cars are back to MSRP or under.

It's easy to feel that way as a buyer who was hoping to pay less. But I don't see the bungling from a business perspective. Even with the price increase, there are five people in the queue for each person who backs out, trust me. You don't think they've looked at the data? This decision wasn't made on a whim.

You missed his point, as he is referring to how they rolled out the price increase ( 2 steps up over 2 days) and communicated it poorly.

From the PTS Price increase thread:
Disappointing news but not entirely unexpected. We will have to see what happens as the reviews begin.
Has anyone checked their status today?
For what it's worth, yesterday PCNA told me that while I should remain hopeful, many of the currently submitted PTS requests will unfortunately be rejected. So I'm not sure who your sources are, and I guess we'll have to wait and see to learn what is true, but that's what I was told by PCNA.
Has anyone checked their status today?

Looks sweet. I went with black wheels as there are several black bits and pieces. I'll post up pics when it arrives.

Update
Some adds, some drops. More of you coming out of the woodwork- not everyone is giving me info, but if you posted elsewhere you have a PTS order, I've added you to the list and PM'd you to give us more info for the database.
Thanks for contributing as usual. Not much to add today on status of orders other then some discouraging news that some of the PTS orders will not be approved for some unknown reason- any details on this issue from any of you, either post here or PM me.
