Default Gt owners who also own 981 boxster Spyder

I just added a 2016 981 spyder. Unfortunately it doesn't arrive for another week. While I wait I would love to hear gt owners thoughts on on these cars.

With low inventory I have found nothing under MSRP, but I do have my eye on a black on black. Just have to lock down my thoughts on the right color.

Default Blk on Blk

Blk is hard to keep clean ok for CA weather. Freaking pollen in the south is insane. But a clean Blk car rocks.

Spyder is great. You'll love it. Sensational driver. Clearly a future collectable too given the number of Spyders built is around 1/3 of the number of GT4s built.

I have the previous Gen Spyder. Great little car and an excellent driver. The 981 is a step on performance wise.

I sold my 981 Spyder last fall due to health issues and knew I'd regret it. Fast forward nine months and I've been looking for one and following the market, but there's not a lot out there and the asking prices are too high for the cars that are available. I found one that came close to my desired build/price, but it sold a couple days before I called. It's a fun car to drive for sure, but it's not worth a premium over sticker IMO.

I just did the same. Pick up this Friday. I've driven a boxster gts a few times and loved it. Hopefully the spyder will do a good job of replacing my c2s. Looking forward to comparing notes.

The Blk one I posted today sold for above MSRP. They don't last long.

Agree that a Boxster and a GT3/RS are a perfect combo. I loved these two cars. A Spyder is a superior companion of course, but as my 987.2 Boxster S was my first Porsche, I didn't know any better.

Love my Spyder have no intention to selling it, bought it new January of 16 nobody wanted them dealer discounted it 8%!

It's so much fun drive and and a blast to run on the track

Must do mods ipd plenum / Tb , manifolds and Cobb then she will have about 420 hp at the crank let's the motor breath the way it's suppose to

I have an 991RS and a 981 Spyder among others - I absolutely love the Spyder. We drive it a lot, including long road trips. Really underrated, special car. Probably my favorite all-around car right now. Have another special car coming shortly that might bump its stature in my collection, but for now the Spyder reigns supreme when I go to grab a set of keys...

Finally found one with the right spec, and I drove the car today and fell in love after five miles. The gear shifts are fantastic with the short throws, and the sound is visceral and fun car for 2900 its punches above its weight. Can't pick up the car until July 7th off to Prague for some RR. Can't wait to take it on a mountain run through the blue ridge mountains.
