His video demonstrated that the LEDs were noticeably brighter than the Bi-xenons on low-beam, but no better, actually less bright than the Bi-Xenons on high beams, when tested on 991 cars in the US.
I don't care about more brightness on low beams as the Xenons are bright enough, however I would pay more for more brightness on high beams, but that's artificially restricted by the US DOT, so for me and many others, the LEDs are a waste of time, money, and weight, if your 991 car is headed to America.

The LED rings looks great in the drl, the slanted look with the 4 dots are not like any other car. I've seen
the Mini and BMW halos and they are more upright, and rather square looking. The Porsche LED are
much more elegant. The Xenon drl is ordinary now and standard to all models.

Porsche loves LED buyers. Not only does it make them money, but it also earns them credits towards GHG compliance. It's a technology that (some) customers want and will pay for that also happens to be a compliance tool. A small tool, but a tool nonetheless, and more importantly, a tool that Porsche doesn't have to eat the cost of. Now they just need to figure out how to make 3-way catalysts and particulate filters appeal to buyers so they'll pay extra for more heavily loaded catalysts.

Would be a good experiment to try and swap .2 PDLS for .1 black PDLS, though the .2 have built in 4-dot DRL so there may be some wiring or coding differences.

Hey guys, i opened mine! I own a 991.2 Turbo S. so i get new lenses with black surrounding finish instead of grey. I add carbon, red detail, smoked the chrome parts with special paint, and add a 911 on the upper beam!! Also instead of circled “angel eye” it will have 4 led points, i will upload photos after 1-2 days when i finish them! Let me know your opinion!! You can see the car here: @antres11
