How in hell could you go to Cheeseboard and NOT get a cheese roll or pecan roll!?!?!

It looks like a beautiful day where you are. Cold here in Massachusetts. Exactly half of that sandwich would be just right for me. Maybe with a bag of Lays potato chips and a coke.

^ it "looks" nice, but lots of smoke from the wild fire. I seem to be immune to that, everyone around me seem to be wearing masks and turning blue or white ;-(

What did you demo? I just made the drive down there yesterday to do the same. Really love their program. Coincidentally, Santa Cruz was the only place within 100 miles that the air wasn't "Immediate Death" on the BAAQMD scale. Wilder Ranch was nice and one hell of a test course. If you come back definitely try China Camp, Tamarancho and Annadel up in Santa Rosa. All top flight.
Mooty, you've done all those rides in Marin BTW but like me for the Peninsula - I have no idea what any of them are

Yes, the demo program is great. I demoed the Blur. At 100mm/100mm suspension travel, the "Cross-Countriest" model they have. I liked it, but it seems to me that Santa Cruz's bread and butter is super capable gravity bikes, and the Blur may be a bit overbuilt as a true cross country machine. My better half demoed the Juliana Furtado -- maybe the women's line of the one you demoed? -- at 130mm/130mm travel. Did you like it?
We've had the privilege of riding China Camp on a prior trip and liked it a lot. You have great access to both on- and off-road riding -- of which we have only scratched the surface. We keep being drawn back -- one of these days we'll just stay . Especially after coming home to pick up the car just-off the boat, and it looking like this. Left it right there on the dealership roof parking.... ;-) Luckily, things thawed up nicely for the weekend and we went and picked it up to get reacquainted after our European adventure, and loaded up the co-pilot.

As an aside -- the little device on the harness is a dog GPS tracker. May leave it in the car next time at service, to see how much Ferris Bueller:ing there really is.
