I ordered this bianchi frame three years ago from an old family owned shop in Hong Kong as part of a two-fer . Took away that day an Oltre XR2 for spouse.
In the states I was at the time buying custom boutique Italian frames but that shop couldn't build a bike for sh*t (do my own work now).
So it was awesome when I finally had them build this to see the care they took with it. They even had homemade special lubricant. It took so long for me to collect the frame that apparently the guy responsible for the order had earned a reputation as an idiot for taking up storage with a 57cm frame they could never sell in HK. When I showed up he was visibly relieved and his colleagues translated the joke between them: "the legend returns!"
