I have red in Macan, white in GT3. Red can be hard to read in sun with sun glasses on.

I had white in the 10 and red in the 15. I liked the white better than the red.

I'm thinking of just installing the red tach in center, while leaving the other gauges black. Like On the GTS cars (and Ferrari's) which looks so good.. I realize this means throwing away the other red gauges in the kit as they don't come separate but it's such a cool look to only have the center dial in color

Have white gauges in my Cayman. No issues seeing them on track.

I do not like my reds in my GT3, I am probably change them for white. they look cool during the day, but not enough contrast between the needle and background (I might be getting old)

That was my problem on both points.

Have black gauges; but, wish they were white.

For me, not a track issue; but rather a safe driving issue. There is so much information on that dashboard. Instead of a glance at the gauges, I find my concentration momentarily switching from the road to the gauges to find out something as basic as the speed of the car. With black, harder to spot what you want. So, that momentary switch turns into two or three moments. Dangerous, I've discovered, at high speeds on two lane roads.

Absolutely. Black gauges are a known-factor in many distracted-driving accidents. I hear porsche was even considering adding a disclaimer "use stock black gauges at your own risk". People driving off cliffs all over the place with these things.. craziness!

I really like the stock/black gauges and I have no problem reading them Like how the Rev Gauge is more grey. White gauges are cool but do not like them enough to pay the upcharge.-They used to come standard white gauges on certain models. Red gauges look good for a day.

I cant stand the way the sun reflects off the white gauges in certain situations.
I prefer black gauges, white indices, and red lights. Black reflects a minimum of light, white on black provides the most contrast for easy readability, and red lighting allows pupils to dilate the most at night.

x2, love the fact that you get the tach in grey and the rest in black, goes well with the black interior especially black/grey stitch. Highlights the RPMs well with some differentiation Can't speak to the effect of white gauges on the track, but personally I don't like how on the white gauges you see all the warning/notification icons even when not lit up

Default In the minority...

I don't like the white tach, which I have in my RS. With the white face, all of the warning icons (airbag, tcs, seatbelt, blinkers, etc etc) are outlined in black. IMO this makes the gauge face look cluttered all of the time, not just when those warnings are on.

This is also the case with red, only less so.

I specced the standard gray in my upcoming car. It just looks cleaner...
