White gauges

For those that track, are you a fan of the white gauges as an option? Is there enough contrast between the dial and white background for you to see while at speed?
Thanks!
Scott

I have white gauges on my GT3. I like them, at the track and on the road. My next one will have guards red gauges, just for a change. But I find the white ones easy to read.

I had white gauges in my GT3 and loved them.

For sure better than red. The standard are fairly easy to read too, but white is great. Looks cool too.

Just curious, what are you looking at on the gauges when you are on the track?

I love the white too, but I wish all 5 were white. The only part that bothers me would be 4 white and the single black one.

Have the white gauges, easy to read.

I have white gauges but drive in sport+ at the track so pretty much just focused on the road :)

I do like them in general and would get again if given the choice.

I like White gauges. Came standard on my 2007 Cayman S and they were on my 997.2 Turbo.

I would spec them depending on my build. If for the extra money I felt they would compliment my build I would check the box

Add me to the list of those really pleased with the white gauges. I had them on a Boxster S and would have certainly ordered them on the Spyder if offered.

Just the tach as I generally short shift (8,000rpm), or especially if I'm near a sound meter. I've received several black flags on exceeding sound meters. :nono:

Had and liked the white gauges on my 997 and 987, but not on 991 models as I hate how unbalanced colored gauges look with only 4 out of 5 gauges being colored next to the uncolored electronic TFT screen.

MileHigh911 05-09-2017 09:53 PM

No concerns for tracking and white gauges. I liked the ones in the 997 because all 5 were white. With the digital screen, only 4 are white, and it looks weird to my eyes. Porsche needs to make the digital gauge flip to white background, colored readings to make it work (and that would be easy to do).
In my 991.1 GT3, I have the standard gauges, and that's exactly what I would get again

You should try to do your short shift by sound. Avoids looking down.
