Slight adjustment needed. GT2RS will take away some capacity.

The GT2RS will be going into production Nov 2017, initial batch will be for Europe and RoW. (Euro market cars can only be made up to End of June). North American GT2RS starts May 2018.

The GT3RS will be introduced in March 2018, Geneva show to be expect. So realistically the production of these won't start until May 2018, time is needed for customers to fill the order book between introduction and start of production. The wild card is that Porsche can in fact start series production of the GT3RS sooner than the public order book opens as their driving schools need cars.

Also, some body in white will needed to be made as base for their race cars. Traditionally, that batch of race cars are assigned mid Feb early March production slots.

Whoopsy -- Is production run 500 or 1000 for GT2RS? (Autobild says 1000). Also, do you know if production extends past Dec 2018 for all GT models?

I'll update things after clarification.

The beauty of turbo cars - you can have as much HP as you want

No reason not to. This could be good news for folks outside of Europe- more allocations coming.

You are correct sir. The production schedule I saw recently had the GT3RS starting in March 2018 for early cars.

According to this spreadsheet, there will be less than half of .2RS produced than .1RS produced. That would put the .2RS in the "limited" category.

I can't foresee a situation in the next 17 months where demand for any GT car drops below current levels.

500 GT2RS units won't put that much of a dent in #s above, but a big question is when all GT3 production (particularly RS models) ends - everything stops Dec. 2018?

I think we have become Chausoul.. as in.. Chausoul gave to us everything she had, even herself, we now have many answers and Chausoul is inside all of us. we just need to look within moving forward, and we will always see that magic 8-ball in our minds eye, ready to provide guidance...

There is no limit, not 500, not 1000.

Dealers are suppose to communicate customer interests to the factory and the factory can decide how many and how long they will stay in production. At that price point for a non-numbered 911, there can't be too many takers. My estimate would be above 1000 and under 2000, perhaps even under 1500 when it's all said and done.

Porsche could produce cars for North American markets past Dec 2018, the law only states that a model year cannot have 2 January. Euro market on the other hand needs the emission certifications.

Whoopsy....any insight on the plain ole .2 GT3 allocations in Canada. Are allocations few and far between or will the tap open up this quarter?

I included GT2 RS models in the mix, suggesting that production needs to 1. Extend past December 2018 and/or 2. Ramp faster than 15-20 GT cars per day. If #1 & #2 don't happen, GT inventory will be substantially more constrained than the 991.1 GT cars. My take is that production extends past Dec. 2018.

And we haven't even mentioned the Speedster and Touring models (the latter probably being an option instead of a separate model).
