This is OT but just curious how come you choose the pdk? Im trying to get all the info i can and for my sake its leaning towards pdk. (specing on tuesday and will probably know my build-date then)

In my case it´s due to 2 things mainly. One is that I like the feeling that the car can be used to its "max", especially when on the track. It feels more like a proper race car IMO. Second is that I love the sound of the PDK slamming the shifts without any delay. I had and tracked a manual 997 GT3 before but loved the PDK on the current 991 4s

I had and tracked an '09 Carrera S pdk and a .1 GT3. Nothing compares to hearing/feeling the gears on the straights then downshifting going into a corner especially with SharkWerks on both. Caught a lot of attention and comments in the paddocks. Drove manual for decades and in my M3 track car but never again. To each his own. I certainly understand the manual enthusiasts and wish them well but my strongest preference is pdk especially for track use.

@swede01 and jfa!
just what i wanted to hear! Also i love the true sound of pdk slamming in the gears just like the cupcar, plus feeling the safety when going very fast and not having to lift off the steering wheel to shift gears. To each his own yes! I also have driven a manual 993 tt and loved the manual, but for me putting a manual in a 991.2 gt3 feels like putting something old in something new, not for me.

Same here. Hugely prefer the extra aggression the PDK brings to the table. To each his own, I'm happy the choice is there for the MT lover. But for me it would feel like neutering or watering down the car.

For an extra $10,000 you can have the car Aiir Freighted directly to your dealer in CA.
PDI done at dealer, not at port

please elaborate/explain. For 10k canadian they shorten the deliverytime, this seems unlikely, but im interested in what youve heard!

Yup, my SA mentioned this to me about this as well, she said she's never done it, but that it was something new
