I guess when ordering a manual, in effect one will be paying quite a premium for the privilege considering that it is a no cost choice.

My 991 GT3RS is obviously PDK which I really like. But Porsche Korea does not import manual. Without a doubt, I would definitely go with manual if it becomes available where I live. Nothing beats heel and toe.

997 RS - Manual. Cayman GTB1 - Manual. I like rowing through the gears. 991 RS - PDK. If I get a 991.2 GT3 allocation, it will be PDK. If I didn't have the 997 RS and Cayman, I'd probably do manual.

any of you golf
i am scratch and played mp11 mp14 mp21 for a long time.
many of my friend love the clubs and all bought them.
90% of the ppl can't hit a muscle back.
it's much more fun just get cavity back and ENJOY life.
manual is same. i have not seen many who actually can drive manual well
and those who do, many opted for pdk, just saying.

I play with muscle back and can never get used to the cavity back's rough feel. Same goes for the manual for me, heel and toe and rev match is the way to cut the corner. Just personal preference.

Manual for me. Making the car more daily friendly then my RS...soft 4 ways, lift, PCCBs...anything that would make my wife happy to ride in it; she hates my RS. Will keep exhaust stock too. Oh no! Based upon all the "experts" on RL, I will never be able to sell it with such a configuration. What a waste!

Took the wife out last Sunday in the RS comfort seats. For the first time realized how good the seats are no idea it had all those controls - she was happy I was even more so with the leg extenders etc. Asked her what was her favorite she said RS who would have thought.

Spec'd the GT3 yesterday going manual steel cf seats - stock exhaust on both so I too now have 2 cars that are backwards thinking.

5 hdcp here. Gave up on musclebacks long time ago, went with forged cavities. Technology advancement it is called. Made my game easier, I can now concentrate on scoring rather that hitting the sweet spot.

I wonder what happens in 3O years when the kids grow up and become the future car buyers. Classic MT cars will be relegated to the very few that know how to shift...heck that may already be the case. I have seen kids befuddled by a car key...all they know is to press the start button. I grew up shifting, matching gears w/o using the clutch...by ear and ***. Love MT by I have discovered technological advancement that makes my driving easier...it is called PDK. MTs are great, nothing wrong with them. Very involving, hopefully no mistakes. Whatever satisfies each of us. Hopefully no CVT in the future for Porsche.

Manual for sure. If I wanted a pdk I would try to get an RS instead for a little bit more money.

It takes a new generation kid 15 min to learn how to get going and drive a manual at parking lot speeds. In 2 months he/she'll be shifting better than most " old timers ". Heel and toe in a year. We need to have more faith in our kids. You just have to teach them while spinning the whole " manual thing " in " their language " : it's cool. Chicks dig it. You have more control. Your friends won't be able to drive your car. Stuff like that... Then they become addicted,no question about it! Anybody can drive automatic,it's boring...ANYBODY!
The benefit YOU'll have for teaching them : IT'S SAFER! 100% no question about it! Hands on the wheel, they can't text, they can't drink latte or play with the girlfriend while driving.

^^^"play with the girlfriend while driving"...what are you talking about? I guess it all depends on what she looks like.

Lol! Come on Bronson, you've never done it?! If you don't have to use your right hand for shifting, you can reach over...and that's all I'm going to say!

Manual is the only reason I'm buying this car. The last of an era. Will keep this for a long, long time.
