Default 991 R Diffuser

The 911 R rear underbody diffuser is now available as a retrofit for the 991 GT3 and GT3 RS! We have tested this on a 2015 991 GT3 and it looks incredible. Several in stock and ready to ship out!

Porsche 991 R Rear Diffuser - Suncoast Parts!

Redeveloped engine underbody paneling with an increased surface area compared to the 911 GT3, as well as four additional fins.

Made of stamped aluminum and shaped so that it rises toward the rear. It thus fulfills the function of a diffuser and ensures downforce. The four plastic fins channel the airflow under the rear, further accelerating the airflow and increasing the diffuser effect.

A direct fit for 2014-2016 GT3 & GT3 RS models, but minor modifications could be required to match openings on the original engine cover. Due to the aggressive aerodynamic effects caused by this product, consult a race specialist to ensure aerodynamics are balanced for high speed or race applications.

Not compatible with standard 911 models.

The opening for the cooler needs to be added.

For most folks a race shop is likely required, not an application for an xacto knife.

How much?
Tested on RS?

You're bringing front rotors to Sebring for me on Wednesday, you're welcome to stick it on to test. I'm going to need the cooling hole though.

I'm very concistent, lap time improvements will be evident.
Have rear wing oem setting with Gurney flap. Made .2 seconds difference on 997RS.

It's actually not bad price wise, I thought it would be more. Keen to see what you think of it after you test it out

Why does the R not need the opening? Because manual?

The opening is different for the PDK GT3/RS and the manual R due to cooling of the manual transmission. You would need to cut the opening to fit for the GT3/RS. We didn't cut the one on our test car (991 GT3) but everything fits like a glove aside from the opening needing to be bigger for the PDK transmission. A simple modification for any performance/race shop

Bring one with a hole in it and I will do some back to back laps if you like.
Maybe we finally found some use for the tall legged RS.

Certainly will help with the South Beach Bling Factor but a diffuser that's not in very close proximity to the road surface is doing little if anything in terms of added downforce. Your test results may vary

What is the evidence for increased downforce with this retrofit? How is a typical race specialist supposed to have the aerodynamic data and analysis capabilities to provide balance? How specifically do you envision people will increase front downforce?

Dive planes might be one way.
