That’s interesting, and the first time I’ve heard of a CEL issue with the car, even on the track. The iron brakes can fade, although I suspect that a high quality DOT 4 fluid and track pads would mitigate that greatly. Mine has the CCMs that are similar to the PCCBs and I’ve experienced no issues with OEM pads and SRF.

Interesting that they have priced the car competitively against the GT3RS ADM range.

GT3RS + ADM = 270-290
600LT + options= 270-300
Ah, but I wouldn’t count ADM and reality is 600LT is performing at GT2 RS levels....actually faster by some measure. Quite an accomplishment.

the notchy 997 GT box feels good in my hand. and i still have 997RS in the garage. THAT MANUAL BOX i love and i wont neglect the art of manual shifting and i hate auto blippers.
Agreed. 997 RS was manual nirvana. Newer stuff feels dumbed-down. At least they’re better than what BMW is putting in new M cars, which falls under the category of why bother.

Yea I can see buying an older GT manual in my future, just feels right with the clutch pedal. I keep going down to my local McLaren dealer to window shop but yet to pull the trigger. The 675LT keeps dropping in price and with the 600LT I think it will be in the same price range very soon if not already. My dream car is still the P1 GTR and will be great to see what they do with the Senna. Still can't beleive they got the wing street legal

He's not kidding, the thing is legitimately on GT2rs level performance (plus and minus here and there) but the thing is no joke...And 200k at minimum cheaper than any Gt2rs for sale...

Acceleration figures I trust. I would like to see however what are improvements over the 570s that this car performs well on a racetrack. That means doesn’t overheats and goes strong with each lap over the whole day.
Either way it’s a fantastically looking car and if it’s available for anyone stepping in Mclaren dealership that means they have nailed it.
Definitely on my list in the short future.

Ring times rank around 10th or 11th place on what drives my decision to buy a road toy. I’m not worried about McLaren’s racing pedigree. Nor am I worried about depreciation with LT cars. I might worry how it’d fair getting beat on over multiple track days but I have real race car for that.

If you haven’t looked at McLaren up close, sat in, or driven one you really owe it to yourself to do so. The technology, construction, and materials are on another level, they sound great and go like helll. Plus, I actually enjoy walking into the dealerships. That’s enough for me to give it a go.

And lets face it, if Porsche would actually sell me the cars I want and the majority of dealers weren’t yanking my chain we wouldn’t be having this dialogue. Unfortunately Porsche ain’t making enough cars and there aren’t enough dealerships like Fresno Porsche out there treating customers with respect so there it is.

Looking forward to seeing blue flames in the rear view mirror on the first night run. 🔥

P.S. Macca does do the occasional Ring road trip: https://newatlas.com/nurburgring-mcl...ap-time/49744/

Yep if I didn't have an RS on the way I would have put money down for the 600LT, I still think that the 720/750LT will be worth the price diff and may be the best looking car out there

I keep leaning towards the 660 LT more and more. I'm just hoping the auto tariffs don't happen or I'm out.

I'm not big on the Mac's but.... Hypothetically speaking if I wanted an LT... Can actually I buy one at sticker or is it P/F-car monkey business?

This is a good question I was offered one at MSRP but the dealer now has about 15 deposits so I have no idea what the demand might be and if Mac is going to produce big numbers........I have a feeling it shouldn't be a problem
