If there are 7500 RS's go back to the dealer and tell him to find you one at less than MSRP. Even better tell him you'll give a $2,000 bonus to his commission as an Xmas gift if he gets you one at MSRP. Heck, sweeten the deal.Make it $5000. New or used. Still a killer deal for you..... "You'll see".

All these numbers are based on information from a source who got it from a source who got it from someone who knows someone who is a reliable source. Yup.

Use common sense. GT production is limited by many factors physical and market. Further those who own these cars tend to live in upper class areas where you would expect to see them or go to places where it wouldn't be surprising. When I see them driving around Newark NJ I'll rethink my position.

At 4500 units or more WW the market place would be FLOODED with them and I suspect Rennlist would be flooded with ALOT of new and over joyed excited owners. Where are these guys?

4500+ww? Really? Lol. That's over 200 cars a month production. Tell me, who has been to the PAG plant and saw what looked like 50 cars on the line that week or hundreds in the yard? I haven't seen that posted here.

And with the engine issues I guess they are REALLY REALLY confident they have it licked with the G/G1 otherwise it's gonna get expensive for them not to mention the PR nightmare. Yep, I can see the auto journalists now writing about how PAG ramped up production 4x over original production to cash in if the G has not fixed the E&F issues. Sheesh.

2500 to 3000 ww max.
Maybe DK7 is trolling RS fanboys?

Definitely a lot more than 997.2 RS in AU, understandably much wider market appeal with PDK & general increase in appreciation of Porsche GT products recently, I believe.
No doubt there are more 991RS than 997RS. No argument there. 991RS was more popular and more in demand. Still GT motorsport market small.

Jono809: Thanks for the info. Can't extrapolate total build from one market. Your count shows also 20% less then the "round numbers" on the list posted by Macca for AU. If we extrapolate that 20% to the other markets the total 4500 that equates to a reductoin to 3600 ww. I don't count or consider what "someone" said "is suposed be coming". Learned years ago "hearsay" is far from a reliable source.

Applying common sense again maybe 3000 ww give or take.

Here in Germany more sources say +7.500 units!
Last months every third/fourth 911 here in Zuffenhausen is a 991 RS at the factory.

So we have close personal friends of Walliser and know how future cars are going to be spec'd on this forum but we don't know RS production numbers?

I believe the total production number for Germany is much higher than 370. Right now, there are just over 100 used RSs for sale on the web across the country. Prices are dropping albeit slowly.

Mate thanks for helping out. Maybe look up some of those other countries for me?

My numbers were guesstimates based on comments from regional RLers (apart from NZ where I reside and know the final number).

Yes Jones figures for GT3 were complete. Production ended Dec 2015. The difference with GT3 was number delivered to Asia, Europe etc were much less than RS.

Ok so Australia will finish 106 - not far from the 120 number that was estimated by an Au renlister months ago.

NZ final figure is 19 units last delivery will take place in 2 weeks to a friend of mine. I rounded everything to make it easy on the math.

Looks like I may be well light on Europe specially considering Nordic countries.

Waxed. You seem to be very keen to defend the myth this is a low production car around 2500 units. I assume this is because you are a recent owner.

Like GT4 production - the RS was also revised heavily upwards by the factory early on.

I think you will find the body of evidence heavily leaning towards 4500 rather than 2500.

A lot of cars were delivered to USA/Canada and Europe/UK compared to prior gen RS - in fact I'm more than certain there are well over 2500 just to those two regions alone (65 Sweden, 300?uk, 400? Germany, France Italy Spain etc). I'd estimate by the time production has ceased and the cars are delivered closer to 3000 all told.

ROW deliveries as demonstrated by RLers in UAE, HK, Taiwan, Australia NZ (over 400 units just there) are 2-3x more than would have typically arrived. Well over 1200 units aggregate and that's conservative IMO. More likely 1500 all told by production end etc. that's how I see the 4500 but if the Europeans are right this number could well be a bit higher.

That would give us approx 8000+ units total GT3 and RS for 991.1 gen (3500+4500) - almost twice what a typical GT3/RS generation would have yielded in the past....

I'm not really sure it matters other than helping beef up the claims for replacement engines down stream and making it more difficult for PAG to back out of goodwill claims down stream. A good thing I think. Otherwise it's largely academic. We are very lucky to own these things...

Porsche (I believe) never put it black on white that the car was limited, but they certainly suggested it in conversation. Had many people fooled, and many still refuse to accept the real numbers.

We were just looking up on the Porsche cars Australia system, it only shows AU & NZ cars, only 6 in AU were Ultraviolet - I'm hoping it stays that way!

Actually I believe China is a very small number to for RS. Perhaps less than 50?
