got consistent red CELs about 36,000 miles at which time I got new heads.

Currently, at 41,000 miles and she's running great.

Highest mileage car I have heard in this forum. 36k miles has to be the standing record. Erases some of my long range concerns, not all but gives me some air.

Total 25,000km including 4250km track (17 days), three engines including original recalled engine:

2013 build with E engine replaced with E1 engine June 2014 after delivery at 3500km (2200 miles) no track work, Stop Sale Recall.

E1 engine 11000km (6900 miles) including 9 track days 2250km (1400 miles) engine missfire code Cylinder #6 light scoring of cam and wear on finger followers (light). Engine replaced with G Feb 2016...

G engine 10,000km (6250 miles) including 8 track days 2000km (1250 miles) still running strong.

Other warranty work includes replacement brake calipers Nov 2016 all four corners due to cracked piston pucks using factory pads (suspect tapering). Also 2x thermostats (one stuck closed, one stuck open).

On the bright side I have not had to pay for a service in 3 years of ownership as they keep replacing engines around 6000 miles!

'16 RS. 2550 miles. No track time. Spirited street driving. No issues. Can't get it to drink a drop of oil no matter what I do.

2015 GT3 (delivered Jan 2015), about 23K total miles, of which about 7K are track miles. Break-in generally in accordance with Porsche recommendations, and maintenance beyond Porsche requirements and recommendations (including changing coil packs and plugs at my own expense).

Haven't pushed the car hard on the road, rarely getting over 6K rpm. Most road miles were for going to and from the track.

Have pushed the car fairly hard on track. Have mostly used the paddles and rarely gotten to redline before upshiifting (ie, slight shortshifting typical), but I'm sometimes at or near redline when downshifting due to clicking the paddle too early (PDK of course delays the downshift until it can be accepted).

Had a couple codes which went away on their own (full driving permitted), leaving no trace for the dealer to investigate. Had rough idle a few times, which went away on its own. Car sometimes smokes heavily on start up. Oil consumption has generally dropped over time, though it was higher for some reason during a recent track day. Also, during a recent track day, got a code on track which resulted in reduced power, but it went away when I pitted in (engine still running), and I was able to go back on track with no issues. Otherwise, the car has run well.

I expect the car to be able to go at least 250 track hours before rebuild, which means about 20K track miles, so I'll attribute any engine problems before that to faulty design.

Have you ever done an oil analysis? Maybe do one on next change and let us know results.

Although small sample here problem seems intermitment as to E's and F's.. My guess would be that the engines that have had issues its therefore an intermittment manufacturing flaw maybe with the cam grind and polish or the followers??

Haven't done so yet, but I will. If the oil analysis reveals a problem, maybe that will prompt Porsche to open up the engine under warranty for inspection.

Are you saying that it might not be a design problem but possibly just be a manufacturing issue instead?

I should clarify that when I referred to faulty design of the engine, I intended to include all flaws in design and/or manufacturing.

what is engine MA 175 on the buyers certificate from Porsche. Also how do you tell which engine you have on a '16.

Pick up date September 2015, 13,000 miles, over half of it track miles in 36 track days, no mods no, no problems. Had a rattle in the rear (shelf?) but fixed itself.

Changed oil, PDK oil, (Have black stone lab #'s) all filters and plugs at 10,000.

Every 6 track days oil change.

Oil use decreased from 200cc per track day to 50cc per track day.
