It's useful when traveling and a cop is behind (or ahead too). But other than that, it's my right foot keeping speed, on any car.

This is no BS. I have actually used cruise control on the bank at Homestead.

I was trying to remember if I've even used it before. Turns out I had between CA and AZ on the I-40. I passed a parked CHP at 95, he looked at me uninterestedly

Use mine all the time for speed control. Just too tempting to push it so I use it on longer straight sections of roadway.

Sorry to lift such a old thread but I bought a 991.1 GT3 in november 2018 and I now got the same problems with the cruise control. Did you solve the problem? And do you know the reason for it?
