Powdercoating is heated to a very high temperature. BBS has done testing on forged aluminum wheels which shows up to 30% weakening of metallurgy EACH time the wheel is powdercoated. Same goes for Magnesium and there is even a special coating on the Magnesium to boot which would be stripped off in the process. Our process is why we are the only authorized refinished for BBS wheels in the USA. Even when BBS has a special project they rely on us to get the job done right

That is the Platinum finish in post 166. This is the light gold:
This is what I have on my 2RS right now and Porsche calls it White Gold Metallic. I have a white 911R with Yellow stripes. While the Gold BBS rims looks stunning, I didn't want my 911R to look so "Golden." The White Gold Metallic on my 2RS is perfect hue, but don't want two sets of rims identical to each other.
Is it possible for you to post side by side the light gold quoted from you and if you have the White Gold?
