Just watched it also.

Hopefully this makes a clickable video:

To be honest I thought it would be a lot closer.

GT3 RS is cleaning up lately. Just took care of the M4 GTS in a german comparo also.

And I thought the 4 wheel drive would win for sure...

Thanks Karim and Bardman!

GTR is a toad. I wanted to want one and just could not get past the 4000 lb or so. My F'ing Caddy is not much heavier. Also I suspect RS is underrated; I know my GT3 was as it would pull way too hard on long straights compared to other more powerful cars.

It amazes me how people think one number - horsepower - is so important. Hellcat, for example. Over 700 hp but from a stop I wager RS would be stronger and get to a corner and .....

At other end of spectrum I am really enjoying my hairdresser car. 2300 lb. 155 hp. Driving dynamics exceeded only by my Elise. Any Neanderthal can press the launch button and mat the right pedal.

Did they post the mph anywhere for both in the quarter mile?

Like that it exceeds stated figures. Not so keen that it shifts at 8,400 even for 1st/2nd shift.

You may need to change the front page article though. The times are for the standing half mile, not quarter mile

Great vid. I currently have an R35 GT-R (until my GT4 comes along), but was not one bit disappointed by the outcome in the video. I wish I could buy a GT3 RS for R35 GT-R money though...

For twice the price, i do not consider Porsche performances incredible compared to the GTR. 4 seats, 100K, Nordschleife killer...and not so far from the RS, the Porsche Icon. That's a massive performance.

I'm happy to see this video being discussed here... To me, if it wasn't an Evo video, I'd have thought it's a joke... if not April Fools Day sort of thing.

The results do not make sense. We all know the 0-60 & quarter mile figures of the GT-R. The only Porsche that beats the GT-R is the turbo, not not by far. How can this video make any sense then?

Just a 50hp difference in the GT-Rs favor but the RS is lighter and doesn't have an AWD tranny to rob power, the traction isnt an issue since the motor is over those rear wheels in the RS.

Love seeing this! but if you dump 15-20k into the GT-r forget about it.
The premise is stock for stock.
Now if you dump 15-20K on a GT2RS or a 991 turbo ... forget about it.
Just saying.
