I luv my 2RS - it's primarily a track car. Incredible fun powering out of turns and getting to scary top speeds at my local fast track. Took some time for brain to learn how to track a high downforce/aero car.
But....it does understeer A LOT. Yes it's a safety feature - and ya likely has saved me from applying too much power at times and going for a spin. But have any 2RS owners put rear sway bars to hard and can comment how it has changed its behaviour on track? What are your setting now? I would start with stiffening the rear bar and getting the front as low as it will go. |

Does anyone see value in using fuel additives like Techron or is that not necessary or of questionable value?

Car is sensational ... built miles up to run this past month at a Road America DE event. Never got any times, fastest i've gone there is a 2;18+ in a 04 Cup in the past.. Pretty sure i beat that time handily with A/C on & passenger in car!
It did drink a ton of water.... and at times was hard to pour in due to a bubble? Main straight 175, into 5, 169, going into canada corner, never could look, nor could get over to left hand side of track as it was literally flying & was doing all i could to haul it down in a straight line. Track had waves in the middle that kept you pretty busy. . When i go back, will have to modify my line going in , but this thing is so firkin fast,,, i don't know how i can get it done im hooked, headed to BIR next late in month.... Wonder what others are running for pressures... ? |

Yes; I would at least inquire about the helmet with your dealership but I am sure you will get one. I took delivery of my 2RS in January so it took about 5 months for it to arrive. Porsche will mail it to your home address on file.

My delivery date was March 2019 too. I received my helmet case in June...after having been told not to expect one.

I bought and use them on my more commonly used Porsche cars. Very useful protector especially for passengers who are not careful gong in and out of the buckets seats. Protects your bucket seats.

Just had my first oil change in the GT2RS. It was the first one my dealer had performed. It's a three hour process and the rear bumper and a lot of other stuff needs to come out to get to the oil filter. It took them completely by surprise and they have sold 11 GT2RS's and have three more on the floor. The first service is free however.........they informed me that the 2 year service is estimated by Porsche to be a 10 hour process. They said they don't even have the service manuals yet for that service. Starting to remind me of my Ferrari days.
