I would never use a seat protector ever.

Three Wheelin'
I bought and use them on my more commonly used Porsche cars. Very useful protector especially for passengers who are not careful gong in and out of the buckets seats. Protects your bucket seats.

Has anyone heard anything recently about the CF steering wheel inserts?

Search this forum for Crazy Eddie's bolster covers, "LWBS Protective Bolster Covers". He has sold a lot of these to Rennlister's and the feedback is always positive. I bought a set of his with yellow deviated stitching and followed his instructions. Took about 10 minutes a side. It was really easy. Great guy to deal with and always a timely response.

i'm glad i'm not the only one who finds these bolster covers incredibly difficult to install. at 9:15, matt says he's already 2 hours and 45 minutes into the install of something that is advertised as 5 minutes per side. and he hasn't yet done the driver side at that point.

Thanks for the useful feedback. Probably a wise investment.
I am looking at the vendor Crazy Ed as well as the preferred source. I have been communicating with him and he is very responsive and helpful.
The only concern I have about the bolster protectors is creasing after the final install and there have been a few problems reinserting the seat switch for some. Though leaning toward Crazy Eds product because of the two piece design probably will make creasing a little less likely.

I own a 2RS and it gets used regularly.

My point is that the seat looks better without the cover on than with it. So one is basically degrading (albeit mildly) the looks of their seat for the sake of preserving the leather.... which will be the benefit of a future owner assuming you’d never remove them. Reminds me somewhat of the black vinyl car bras that were en vogue in the 90’s. They were effective in preventing stone chips but meant you’d have a car that looked worse than any stone chip(s) ever would. It’s obviously not a fair comparison because the side bolster protectors are relatively discreet, but the concept is the same. In the end it’s a personal choice.
