I was at the event. Here are few trap speed references:
GT3s 148~149 mph
GT3 RS 149~150 mph
Nismo GTR (with big wing) 145~147 mph
GT350 141~142 mph
458 147~149 mph
F12 155~157 mph
Huracan (stock) 154~155 mph
Aventador (aftermarket exhaust) 155~157 mph
Turbo S (stock) 150~152 mph
AMG GTS (stock) 148~150 mph
M5 (stock) 142~143 mph
650S (stock according to the owner) 160~164 mph
Vantage V8 (stock) 135 mph
ZR1 (stock) 149~151 mph
Pre 2006 Gallardo 135 mph
Veyron 170~171 mph
Murcielago (aftermarket exhaust) 155 mph
800 whpFord GT 170~172 mph
680 whp 991 Turbo S 167~175 mph
This is what observed throughout the day. I'm sure there were some faster or slower times.

Where I come from low 11's is incredibly fast. And these things hook up. In the 1/4 mile i would put my money on a GT3 against a Z06 or Hellcat any day, because their job of hooking up is way harder.
But these cars can play whatever games you want them to. Drags. Track. Whatever.

Air resistance is proportional to the cube of the speed. So the net difference between drag on the RS vs GT3 is greatly amplified.
Btw, I am so pretty impressed with the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times of the GT3. This is faster but for the fastest of high horsepower cars.
The GT3 has 2 great things going for it....the PDK and the rear engine weight bias.
I am buying a Dodge Hellcat....will let you know the difference in experience.

I wonder if this would have changed in colder weather with the intakes on the RS.

Rolling video available on youtube! Not sure if i can post on rennlist..
Anyway, we raced rolling 2nd gear @4000rpm. The RS pulls everytime by half a car length till 230-240kmh.. The advantage is gained by the RS during the first 5 seconds of the race, then the distance remains constant..

the latest motor trend article where they raced a 2016 Corvette Z06, 2016 viper acr, zo6 and the 2016 Gt3 RS. I was impressed with the numbers in a straight line.
Vet, ACR and GT3 RS
0-60 3.3, 3.5, 3.0
0-100 7.4, 7.4, 7.0
1/4" 11.4 @124.4, 11.5@127.3, 11.1@ 125
I was very impressed with the lap times where the GT3rs was only .2 tenths of a second slower then the Z06. The best part about the Porsche is it would do those lap times all day versus the Z06.

Sorta related but wrong gen...do you guys have the fastest half mile speeds available for 997.2 GT3 variants?
I ran a 144.323 mph pass in my own 2010 GT3 RS and think I did a good job getting performance out of the car, but would like to compare to others. That same day a 991 GT3 RS did a 152.x btw.
Thanks all!

Wow, didn't expect the RS to be that fast stock. 11.1s and 150mph on a half mile? Not too bad. I spent a lot of money to get my RS7 to run 10.6s (157 half mile) and there's no way it could ever touch a track.
