I would think any PCA member could stroll into the Porscheplatz and show their card and be fine.

Best Triple Ever!

Rosenbergendo. Safe drive and may you be fruitful in your mission. We know you will bring home the bacon:-).

If you are talking with the men that know Id be interesting (and Im sure many of us) in understanding what the single biggest challenge PAG had in making the 9A1 reliable (i.e. is the word "lubrication" going to ***** any ears etc).

Of course to know what is coming with the 1.2 GT3 is nice indeed (i.e. definitely NA? Manual option for 3 etc) however this will be hard to establish. I would rather focus on the current gen cars to understand better why the chose to back down the RS limiter and what changes a G series MA175 unit has over previous gen engine etc...

Anyway mate Im sure you will do your best and Im sure you will enjoy yourself...please report back here :-)

991R-4.0 liter and 270k USD
E versus F and G engines are very different. I was told by 3 people that F and G engines have revised DLC coating and not to worry.
2017 RSR will be mid engined and they have/are testing turbo and non-turbo motors. I was told from different people that it was NA and one told me turbo due to ACO. If turbo it would be a 3.8.
Seemed to get confirmation .2 would be NA but all bets are off for 992. Most people seem to backup what AP said at Rennsport. I also get the feeling here that the flow of info has definitely clamped down and that there is some uncertainty within the higher ups even about the next GT3/RS engine type. I'll post more if I get anything else.

From Ferrari VIP suite you can see every turn on the infield clearly. And directly over T1 where a lot of action has happened tonight. Porsche fan and fanatic, but the people at Ferrari know how to spoil their own.

Great work R.

They must be loading the trunk of the 911R with cocaine for 270k USD! No way I'd be paint twice my GT3 for it sorry Porsche.

As we suspected with the E vs F & G. However the "not to worry" part I can no longer trust them on. They only barely are finding out what's happening here themselves!

Interesting news next RSR. I wonder if this is just moving the engine forward or a whole new platform. The Mezger will definitely be gone for good by then with the sound of things. Maybe the 911 GT3R GTD class this Daytona is a trial run for fitments to the RSR next season...

Keep the news flowing when you have some ;-) and thanks again...

Was told that there will definitely be a 991.2 GT3 and that quite likely it will be NA, although there was some hedging to that. At the PCA tent strong statements were made by German PAG brass that turbo is the way to go given emissions and economy regulations. I continue to believe that GTx cars will be NA AS LONG AS FIA/WEC REGULATIONS REQUIRE NA for GT3 category. As soon as those change to turbo NA will go sayonara.
