Ridiculous... Lava Orange GT3 (Non-RS) 43k over.
#46
When I was looking for a 2016 GT3, I was offered 3 cars all for offer 50k, I asked all 3 of them if this was a joke. Circle porsche (long beach) is the only who was not charging over msrp for anything, but never have any allocations. There are many used low mileage gt3s. I was lucky to get a fully loaded used 2015 at my price point. I could swallow 20k, but 50k is ridiculous.

I guess asking $50k over for a GT3 somehow justifies asking $150k over for an RS in the stealer's mind.

It's more entertaining to chat amongst pals about the absurdity of asking $150k over MSRP for a brand new car (when no less than 20 sit on the market at that price, and aren't moving much) than it is to keep bringing up capitalism, free market economy, move along, etc.

I had a friend stop by this afternoon to see my GT3 he would really like to get one, so he tells me he called Beverly Hills and was trying to buy one of their cars. He said they wanted 45m over for the one they have, so he tells them he would like to trade his 2014 50 th anniversary car which is black in color which is rare for that model and its a 7 speed stick. My friend says to the guy well you have a 50 anniversary in stock what are you asking for it the salesmen says 165m so my friend says well why don,t you give me 165m for mine and I will give you 20 m over for your GT 3 . The salesmen says that is ridiculous we will never get 165m for the car we have so we cannot do that. So my friend says well go to management with my offer and let me know, this was last week the guy never even called my friend back. What a dealership did not even have the common courtesy to call him back and say they could not do the deal he offered and not even a counter!

Its an epidemic... "dealer installed options"

OP you seriously offered 20k over MSRP? Honestly if I knew people were insane like that I would just get a lava orange GT3 from my dealer and sell it on here. My dealer is still getting allocations that are unspoken and they are just selling them as they build them.

Would love to know where you're talking about?

But the salesmen told me at the time we are lucky to be in an affluent area and we are confident we will get someone to pay it, so there you go .

What is really crazy about this deal is that I was trying to buy this exact car from them in Nov. they wanted 35m then which I thought was nuts at the time so I told them to forget it, now there at 45m!
