I love the Ducktail idea. Wish the R would have the option for a ducktail... or Porsche going retro with putting the ducktail and front pieces of aerodynamics to keep the car balanced up front. Paying homage to the 73 2.7 RS. Why not just have named the car 911 RS in the first place. But that would probably lead to Ambiguity between the aforementioned imaginary 911 RS and the 911 GT3 RS cars.

I hate it that my fatazz treats this car just like a Turbo with AC, 18 way seats, and keeping the higher range radio with PCMu dc y few u dress tE.,,j. and track app for which I do not need really. But I do retain the Single Mass Flywheel and Lithium Ion battery.

The money really starts to pile up when one starts ticking off the a lá carte. Options. $212,950 plus a good $18K in CA Tax. So a grand total of $230K thanks to options I really can live without but instead choose anyway. But there is no way I would be able to buy one factory fresh since a great number are already But spoken fer, it would have to be after market. But like Porsche's new GT3 and GT3 RS models. And the said thisun&jng about

Just looking at it again, it might be Y99 grigiocampovolo, my best guess. I'm sure someone will let us know for sure.

Does anyone know at what speed the RS would become unstable without the wing? I've got a July build for an RS and will only track it 3-4 times per year due to the NE climate and my work & family load. I'll obviously keep the wing on for the track, but since it's easily removed, I may want to remove it for weekend drives with speeds under 70MPH. I think the car looks great with and without it.

At US speeds you never need any downforce.

No offense to the RS owners but that's the only part I'm not crazy about is the large rear wing. I realize what it means for track use but as far as street driving, the size limit for me is about what the GT3 offers, especially at my age.

As a grandpa you should put a big wing in that car so that junior develops an early taste for real Porsches. Forget what others may say!

This looks amazing.

Any know where can this be done?

Where can you order the rear bumper red reflector covers?

Thanks

You may not have convinced me on the big wing yet but you sure put a big smile on my face.

Those racy wings are the only reason I never interested on either base 3 or the RS, wouldn't mine for dedicated track use as what those cars intended for.

Ducktail on that fashion grey 3 definately looks great.

GT3 wing is functional for downforce at high speed, obviously, as lift goes as the square of velocity. Wing works together with lower diffuser for upwards of, what, 350 lbs of downforce at top speed? A variable smaller wing such as 992 wouldn't do that job.

The Alamo fell on March 6th, 1836. Just slightly older than this thread.
