OT: Scottsdale for the weekend... Suggestions?
Will be flying out this afternoon and returning either Saturday or Sunday. Any suggestions for upscale/semi-casual eateries, bars/lounges, and shopping/activities (for the wife... the incoming GT3 has increased her habit). We will be staying at the Rocks Club if that should help.
I appreciate the suggestions!

In the vicinity of your stay:
Restaurant: the 4 Seasons has the best view of the Valley, and Vgood food. Blu burger for casual.
Shopping: Kierland (close) & Fashion Square/old town Scottsdale,
Cars: Penske auto mall/Museum.

For breakfast we like the Daily Dose on Scotsdale BLVD. For outdoor appetizers/lunch/ drinks we head over to the Salty Señorita also on Scotsdale. Casual dinning I like Bandero on Scottsdale and for a little more upscale I like Masteros City Hall. Masteros also has dancing on the weekends. Hole in the Rock at Papago Park is a great place to watch a sunset and it's easy access and close to Scottsdale. Also check out Tempe Beach park for a nice walk! Oh and check out the lounge at the Valley Ho for some 1950's inspired vibe! Coach House on E Indian School Rd is the funest safest dive bar!

In north Scottsdale you can throw a dart and whatever you hit try it out. Don't have enough time to name everything......BUT if your staying at Rocks Club can you swing by my house and check on everything I'm 3 minutes away in Troon area. I'm out of town currently so if you need a car to drive help yourself ha ha

Sumomaya is a great place to eat. For sushi Shin Bay is the best in AZ. Standard good places are Eddie V's and any of the three Mastros. The only upscale and decent shopping is Scottsdale Fashion Square. The Montelucia is a great place to stay and has the best Spa around and you can use their spa even if you're not staying there

Can't remember the name. But at the top of a casino hotel with two golf courses, was a nice restaurant for dinner.
