I'd love to watch the race from the outside too.
When driving it is so difficult to focus on other things than your own very small part of the race.

Today is a busy day: traveling to Nürburg.

When there it is time to register for the RCN race and to pickup petrol cars and transponder for the RCN M3.

After that I need to pickup my badge and my gear so I can enter the GP track paddock where I'll meet the team and then register for the 24H race. Clothes, Hans and helmet will go thru techinspec.

After that there is a drivers briefing specially for drivers who do both RCN and N24H.
Dinner with the team and then to bed early as I had to wake up early to go to the airport.

Thursday morning it is drivers briefing for the RCN race. Then race until 1130.

Drivers briefing in english for N24H

And after that training for N24.

In the evening Q1.

Guess I'll sleep well then

From my experience in Le Mans 24 Hours, there is no "ideal" place.

As a spectator, your are passive, and it could be difficult to follow a particular category and/or the others.

As a team member, your are focused on YOUR car and the cars of the same category. This is also great from a sport point of view, because at the end of the race, this is YOUR team's result, good, bad or mitigate.
But you can't follow the race in general.

As a member of the organization, you are a part of the race in general, so a lot of involvement, but nothing to compare with the rush of adrenalin of a team member.

After 7 years in various teams during LM24, I haven't been able to attend the event as a "simple" spectator.
This year, I have done the race as a member of the organization and this was interesting, with the right level of involvement. But I really miss the satisfaction to be a part of class victory, an average result or DNF (whatever the reason, as long as everybody as done his best).

I will have to attend the N24! It seems to be crazy, just by the number of cars and levels. The track is also a huge beauty in itself.

Is there an online live-timing and what is your car's number during the N24?

Good luck, perhaps the best track race going due to the intensity and the range and variability of the cars and drivers. Super intense 🏁

Will be following with Radio Le Mans

Very busy day - it is like jumping on a train that comes at full speed.

We did the practice session which was red flagged because of too much water on track.

I went out and came to Flügplatz and from there I drove back to the pits at between 50-80 km/h.
Thunderstorm and MUCH water. I was on slicks.
When I was almost back in the pits they red flagged the training session.

My teammate from VLN who could participate in the N24H are now in the same car as I am :-)
It is story behind this but I'll tell that one later.
I'm glad we can share this experience.

In a couple of hour, 20:30-23:30, it is Quali 1
Looking forward to it. I hope that it will be dry.

Things happen in racing:
