Good driver to be sure, but the time leaves me confused. Didn't the factory Porsche driver only achieve a 7:24 time with the 991 GT3? I only saw that 7:24 time reported in one place.
It makes you wonder what is the real Ring time for the 991 GT3?
I wonder if a professional like Sabine or another Ring specialist could achieve a 7:10 with the 991 GT3?

The BTG is the Nordschleife without the long straight line.
You need to add around 23s to a BTG laptime to "convert" it to full lap.

Manu (in the video) has a few laps in the 991 GT3 on the full track and he is the fastest non pro driver Ive seen there. You can find his clips here as Ive posted them before and I believe hes done the full track in a rented 991 GT3 (stock geo and tyres etc) in 7.32 in mid 2014 with only one or two cars traffic last year. At least hes consistent.
I spoke with him about this and he believed the factory must have been working very hard to go below 7.30 but it was doable. He subsequently went and bought a 991 GT3 which I believe is the car hes using in this video and hes a big fan of Trofeos Rs (like many Italians lol!) although for a track like Ring I doubt the difference is measurable. Maybe at Spa or Monza/Imola.
I understand Manu has an RS on order so we will likely see what he can do with that shortly. He also owns a Speciale which he loves and Ive seen him pilot that to 7.30 on the full track.
One thing is for sure, the guy has *****. I thinkhe wouldbe one of the fastest private non pro 991 GT3 owners Ive seen on any track in Europe and he has great car control. He can actually powerslide the car around the Ring should he choose like Stefan did back in the 90s in Fazination with the RIF yellowbird CTR....

In the OP video taken yesterday you can see Manu start to push on hard in the last 60 seconds once his telemetrics unit finally shows green and tells him he is now beating the time of his best previous lap. he keeps an eye on it alot.
