4 new MPSC2 N2 mounted.
Local shop LLM Mecasport screwed us if at Spa. It’s next door to the Hotel De La Source.
Knows by the Michelin people as super shady.

Now I know.

Peter

Those tires look my PS4S that I ran at Gingerman, 40 degrees and freezing rain. I blamed it on too low pressure for the cold conditions.

Next service stop we put the rears on -2.5...

WOW

Did nobody check beforehand that they were N0s and not N2s?

No unfortunately, we specified the N2, they said yes and that they had just received a shipment for the weekend so we took their word for it. We were scrambling for time once done as we had 45 minutes till the day was done...

Clearly their word can't be taken at face value, not to mention they were significantly more expensive...

I noticed the N0 spec when photographing our corded tyres...

^^ I just thought because I specifically asked and LLM Mecasport (Crooks) re-confirmed; Yes, "the latest spec MPSC2 N2" and we were in between sessions, we jumped in and ran.

Just ran the last session, on new MPSC2, first they meatball me, but it was a case of mistaken identity, so for no good reason I lost 2 laps. Then I went out and ran a 2:36 before running out of gas. Even though I only ran 1 session before and I cam in early. My tank wat 3/4 full went I went out for this last session, but after only 7 laps the car sputtered and I limped to the gas station and Spa was over with a 2:36, but my TBL was a 2:35 and I am sure there was a lot of room for improvement as I was pretty much testing each corner in terms of what the car could take on OEM tires.. Only got 7 laps in.

911rox coached me from a 2:44, he's for hire. Not cheap but he'll put you on the wait list..
He'll order drinks, food, pump gas and bleed tire, full service bloke.

I came here hoping for a 2:38, so happy, but there is room for faster for sure.

Congrats! Great effort. Can't wait for the onboard. How does the car compare to your .1 with mods?

Its better then the .1RS with mods.
The car is just so easy to drive, so balanced.

There are a few more RPM's but the speed comes from front grip that is easily balance with the rear wing up to max.
And the most impressive part is that the rear of my car sits OEM low..

Tomorrow to the Ring for tourist driving laps with new brakes and mild setup.

I have a set of Ferodo DS 1.11 in my garage in case you run out of luck with RE10's.

They are meant for my 991.1 but I assume they fit 991.2

If you want I can give them to Grant and if you don't need them he just return them to my workshop. (I leave at 13.30 tomorrow.)
