A thread for the serfdom: those still waiting on RS allocations
I feel that it has become a bit like gladiator games, with PAG/PCNA/Dealers sitting above the arena, watching some of us down in the pit crawl around fighting for RS allocations...
Just thought that I would start a thread for those of us who weren't lucky enough to get a first round RS allocation. So much for historical relationships and pulling strings (damn it!)Will there be more? Dealer says yes, many on her believe yes, I say probably. But who knows. So for all of you with RS allocations, for those that will back out of them, or those who will purchase but sell with very low miles, please put me on your list, just in case.

In the meantime, some other marques are tugging at my lack of patience, but in the past I have always regretted diversions from Porsche. The McLarens are interesting, as is the vantage v12 S manual, the Huracan is awesome, for that matter even the R8 V10 spyder. None a match for an RS, street or track, but still interesting and no BS about taking my $200k+
Anyways, just thought I would start a thread specifically for us serfs without RS allocations

Three Wheelin'
No longer interested. Nice car but too many hurdles and I've got other and better things to do than chase a car, any car. Told dealer he has one less on the list.

I waited 2 years to get into my SCUD, I waited almost 16 months to get my GT3. Its too early in the game for you to quit.
If you have the money, patience is something that would get you the car. It maybe you or others here, but let them get the car or get crazy about it, sit back and drink a jack daniels and in 1 year, you will sign the purchase order for an RS. If not, so what, I(you) still have my(your) money. Too bad for PCNA.
So relax, drive your GT3. :>

I am waiting too. kinda hoping my dealer never comes through as I love my car. the thing is fast, do I really need to run low thirties at road atlanta? honestly the current car is fast enough but I will take one at msrp if it happens.

With a GT4 on the way and the cars I already have, I'll wait till I either get a call from the dealer that I'm on the list with or just buy a slightly used one.

In the same boat. I am next in line at my local dealership. If no more MY 2016 then hoping Porsche will continue RS for MY 2017. Hopefully 2017 will be released without delay like 2016 had. What's the chances that Porsche will continue 991.1 RS for another year?

I would only be interested in an allocation if it came with Euro delivery. That 6 month experience would be priceless. I've bought many Porsches over the years but the games that dealers are playing with GT3RS allocations turn me off.

I am doing Euro delivery, but if you are planning it it is important to know the blackout dates. In general there is none after October and before April or May as I recall, at least for cars with semi-track tires like the RS, as there are requirements for winter tires there. So. for instance, a November build is a non-starter for ED.
