Is the GT3 Quicker than the GT3 RS?

the op's question relates to 'quickness', aka 0-60/0-62 times
no way the gt3 rs is slower 0-60 than non rs gt3 with extraneous variables controlled ...puh-lease...
terminal top speed as affected by aero drag are a different subject than what the op asks
anyhow, you are seeking 'published facts' (whatever they are)... i think some of the interceding posts have offered some at this point
cheers

Well, wait a minute. The GT3 is in fact faster than the GT3RS because of aero and has a higher, fastest ultimate top speed. The question of whether it is quicker isn't settled. Being ligher and having more horse power should make the RS quicker. You're correct, I would not expect the 3 to be quicker than the RS but, that does not make it factually so.
Magazine vendors have tested the 3 at 3.0 and 3.1 seconds. Do you have something, now, that demonstrates the RS is quicker? The best source I noted is from Porsche that reflects 3.1 seconds and that's likely conservative.
The point is, it's not ridiculous until proven so.
Dan (notes the RS is likely quicker but, hasn't seen anything to prove it)

Of course, I expected the RS to be faster too, but in fact it isn't per Porsche.
Huh?
The downforce adds a lot of weight so the power to weight ratio at the highest speeds make it slower than the 3. So, it's a good question to find out where in the speed range that transition takes place.
No extra weight?? Displacement = torque will take care of that, so at no speed.
