The reflection in he black car is also blue.

It's in the details.
Yep, I don't think this is photoshopped from another colour to blue. I can't tell which blue it is though.

Exclusive did it. It's actually orange. IIRC

Thanks Daniel & Lumber.

Indeed 'Porsche Exclusive' can & does this for a price. A friend
was quoted the following:

"The cost to do the custom RS wheels in Lava Orange is $4490
and the wheels need to be selected in Silver which is a normal
option listed in the configurator at a cost of $325. The reason
for this is that they are done by hand after the car has completed
the standard production. It normally adds about 10 days to the
build process, but the finish is more than 1st class! Our team
in the specialized Exclusive Manufaktur department handles
this and they are the same group that takes care of all our
VIP Porsche Exclusive builds!
"

I believe the charge deviating 'orange' mirror was $1,295.
I have no idea what the cost is for the deviated color trim
on side air intakes.

Lumber: Can you confirm what 'orange' color (e.g. 'Lava'
or 'Gulf') was used on that 'Porsche Exchange' RS? It looks
'Lava' to me.

Saludos,
Eduardo

Default 'Mexico' or 'Riviera' - I can't tell from this photo!

Agree it's not 'Miami'. Whether it's 'Riviera' or 'Mexico' on this Swiss

'Riviera Blue'

'Mexico Blue'

Normally, 'Riviera' looks lighter than 'Mexico'. But my Sony Cybershot
dsc-hx7v that day, while holding the sample at different angle &
apparently reflecting more light (flash?), made 'Mexico' seem lighter!
You can trust photos - mine or anybody else's. You need to see these
colors in person to know how the human eye captures the hues for real!

In the daylight, it's often easier to tell apart the lighter tone of 'Riviera'
(right) vs 'Mexico' (left). RollingArt's 'Riviera' 997 vs Larry Cable's 'Mexico'
gt3 at a Northern California gathering a few years ago as posted in Rennlist
at the time.

I agree Eduardo its a tough call but if the photo is reasonably accurate, then having seen both colors is real life as well as both color samples at Porsche exclusive at Geneva, Zuffenhausen and Frankfurt I am sticking with my view that it is riviera. I also concur with you that the pic you took of the 2 color samples that they look reversed but as you point out,in real life Mexico is the darker hue and in falling light it seems to have a slight hint of green in it but nowhere near what Miami has. In any event car looks great in that color!

Thanks guys - I think it'll be a good garage partner to have something more Grand Tourer like, will be my first Targa after always being a coupe person. My wife owned a S2000 for a while, but first time without a metal roof.

Will help with the RS wait, even though the RS was ordered first. Both PTS slots were requested at the sametime.

Here are a few more pics of that car. Must admit the vent casing coloring is a pretty cool interior touch. Eduardo - I didn't see it in person so not sure what color code it is.

Some very cool touches on that RS. Looks like LO in those pics but hopefully someone with exact details will chime in.

Thanks llstuey and lumber. That RS is right up there with the exclusive Birch green one at the factory! WOW!! The interior and exterior orange accents are perfect. Is the owner on RL?

Nate, congratulations. Please post more pics when you pick it up. Before I finalized my RS PTS, I was going to order this very car as a companion, too. Very cool. That is going to be a terrific car. Instead of a Targa GTS, however, I have decided to get more older cars. Picked up a '98 Glacier white Carrera S yesterday. Very excited.

Here it looked like 'Lava Orange':

*

But the new photos of llstuey decidedly make it look richer & deeper
than 'Lava'...like 'Gulf':

As soon as you guys (llstuey & lumber) can confirm the
exact color & code, we would really appreciate it! Thanks.
