Default EXCLUDING value for money, is GT3 a better driver's car than RS?

RS is faster, particularly round a track, is bright orange and is ostensibly the best Porsche. However, the standard GT3 has this going for it:

- Revs to 9,000 vs 8,800
- Moves around more as has less grip
- Looks purer, with no turbo vents, front fender vents and less after-market looking wing
- Arguably sounds better due to less dominated by intake noise and revs higher
- You have to rag it harder to get the best out of it due to lower torque (and this is the ideal expression of GT3 driving experience)

Must declare an interest here: I have a 3 but no RS allocation!

Not going down too well this one is it?! Anyone want to humour me and argue why the RS is a better driver's car? (Not looking for 'it's faster' as a reason).

Reasons the RS is a better driver's car:

* More torque (faster acceleration)
* More HP
* Better grip (better aerodynamics, more downforce)
* Less weight (base reduction plus lightweight battery, radio delete, AC delete)
^ Yes, that's my configuration, if I get one. 109 lbs. lighter
* Better rear view (higher wing)

All of this makes for a better driver's car from my perspective.

I also have a GT3 but no RS allocation (yet). I have ordered a Crawford wing and will be removing the radio and AC within the next month. That will help me address the last three points above.

This is a never ending argument given the subjectivity of the question.

I like the weight argument. Hopefully it will be possible to feel it. Interesting some of your reasons are the same ones that I had for arguing in favour of the base model

I still want the orange one because it's cooler and faster

It s all about value for money
10 Kg less 24hp 20nm more and 0.5 sec less 0 to 124mph worth 50k? Worth investing for a much much expensive Magnesium roof while the Carbon roof was more than sufficient? Not better having a 5 kg less but 50 hp and 50 nm more?

I will not sell my 3 for the RS for sure there s no point there

I agree with this. I don't much care for all the vents, especially over the front wheels. That just strikes me as too over the top and of questionable value. The turbo vents I wonder whether they are there simply because it was easier to leave them there from an original turbo body panel. And, 25 horse power, and the few changes don't justify the difference in price between the RS and the 3. The only reason I'd buy one of these is because they're rarer and would have a better chance to hold value or appreciate. And, that's not why I bought the 3 or a reason I'd buy a RS, even if I could find an allocation.

Value of money excluded.
It does everything better.

Depends on where you want to drive it.
