Congrats to another fellow Canadian on a remarkable looking GR. I hear you regarding this long cold winter, I'm just down the QEW from you. Who was your dealer? Mine should be arriving this week.

Congrats on your pending arrival... RY as per your avatar? should be stunning. RY is one of the few colors i haven't yet seen in person on a GT3. There was a white, SBM, black, Agate Grey, and a GT Silver at Pfaff at the same time as mine.

I love these threads! Huge congratulations

thanks, and yes so much better reading and posting good news and fun stuff... unlike last year at this time during the stop sale dark days when the GT3 forum was like a bad crack addiction, checking for new posts hourly hoping for some good news, any news, weeding through rumors and speculation...
Glad all of that is now a distant memory.

Well done, congrats.
I have a very similar GT3" but on black rims and black PDLS.
Which detailer did you use in Toronto?
Im in Quebec, but im not sure if anyone uphere knows that film edges should be hidden and wrapped around panel edges. When i asked the recommended-by-the-dealer detailer, it felt like a dropped call for 10seconds while he tried to figure out what i was talking about. "Ok, your not touching my GT3"!!
Well done again, enjoy in good health!

[QUOTE=911khc;12121900]After the 18 month roller coaster ride waiting for my GT3, and spending endless hours almost everyday the last year and a half reading this forum, my guards red GT3 is now home in my garage. Every night this last week since the car arrived at the dealer I've been like a little kid on Christmas Eve, very little sleep and much excitement. I took delivery last Tuesday and had the car shipped straight to my detailers for full paint correction, 3M Pro Series wrap (full front, rockers and rear impact areas) and cQuartz.
Congrats on your car. I have GR too and she is still in the dealership waiting for a truck. I am planning on putting Suntek clear film. What is the area of the impact panel? I did not ask the dealer to install in that area. Thanks

The area in front of the rear wheels where the factory applied protective film covers is what i am referring to as the rear impact area. the factory applied pieces is removed and replaced with a larger piece that wraps into the door frame and finishes up higher near the top of the wheel arch. Also good to put behind the rear wheels, on the flat edge of the wheel arch and continuing down along the very bottom of the quarter panel.

Maybe our 3's will cross paths this summer, but with the silent engine and stealth GR color, i may pass by incognito..
