When someone pays $50K premium the first thing I make sure of is that it isn't me! I would certainly acquire an RS, but not under these market conditions. I drove the GT3 last evening and it never fails to impress. There are a lot worse things in life than keeping my GT3 and missing out on the RS.

GT3 is a great car. I don't think you are under privileged it you don't get an RS. You need a great relationship with your dealer to get an RS at MSRP.

My dealer told me today that they get 3 allocations total. December is the last one, than no more.

Screw that, but if anyone here is willing I think you can lock the allocation today.
There is no dealership called North Dallas Porsche. Either it is Park Place (Dallas), or Porsche of Plano (owned by AutoNation). In general, Park Place does not charge over MSRP for their cars.

Which one was it?

And when they tell you this is the last RS EVER!! are you going to buy that too?

Just teasing you, I know you don't believe this BS, but it's all back to the allocation drama and we are only on step 1 of 6!

Repeating the BS just somehow lends credo to the drama. To remind everyone, Step 1 is to withhold total production numbers like state secrets and dribble out early allocations while saying "this may be all you get" until buyers get in a frothy frenzy.

Step 1: Withhold information on production like state secrets
Step 2: Dribble out early allocations, wait for buyer frenzy and...
Step 3: Dribble a few more, let slip a rumor "we may not build more"
Step 4: Get to business building as many as you can in the 2016 model year to satify all of your vendors that you committed 2000+ volumes.
Step 5: Let out rumor that "this may be the last RS"
Step 6: Release limit edition model equal to the amount you still need to build to satisfy vendors (3000-2400=600, yeah that's it! 600!)

Sound familiar?
Sorry, we are in step 2. I stand corrected!

Yeah, I'm keeping my Nov build, but I will tell dealer that IF he gets later allocations for spring 2016 (That may even offer PTS) I will take that one.

Just asked dealer today for 2015 (cheaper) Macan ED for this summer..

November deliver of an RS on snow tires is useless...

Because PAG wants to play the game of scarcity with buyers like us to get us all hyped up even more. I'll enjoy the 991 GT3 for a bit until I can buy a new home or a better yet a used one with no sales tax. I'm not paying a penny over MSRP to a stealership for any car. If the RS is indeed a low volume car and it trades for MSRP on the resale market then I can stomach that I more.

They won't be MSRP on the used market for awhile. It depends on how many they make.

I just hung up with my dealer and asked him that IF he gets more allocations for 2016 to please let me know as I want PTS and ED.

All ED through August is sold out, I couldn't even order a Macan for ED till September.
He again said that he double checked but this time it is different and he expects no allocations at all beyond the ones he received.

I don't believe it, but just to confirm this is what dealers are getting told.

You know he may be telling the truth because no one at Porsche in Germany has made any decisions regarding how many RS will be produced or when they'll be allocated to dealers. Afterall who knows when somebody decided to build 30 GT3s in 3 different, totally arbitrary, PTS colors as a reward to dealers who came to Europe on, presumably, their own coin?

My dealer told me the same thing on timing, but I agree it's probably what PAG is telling PCNA at the moment. My dealer has 7 RSs coming in (including 918 customers), last slot for them is November.
