Default MSC2 265/325 Anyone Try Yet

265/35/20 front 325/30/20 rear MSC2s, has anyone mount these on their GT3 yet? They are available! Both 2% bigger diameter.

It looks like you will have to deal with a section width increase of 1.1 inches front and .7 inches rear (+.55"/.35" per side). I think that might be a bigger issue than the diameters which are the same ratio but a bit larger as you noted. I'm not sure how much room there is between the spring and the tire f/r. When I went up one size on the 10 GT3 it was close in the back.

Front tires rub now with stock size and hard turn. Couldn't imagine more meat upfront and besides, Wouldn't that slow down the steering?

What if you left front alone but mounted the 325 rears? Anybody know 1) if it clears suspension, and 2) does it negatively impact RWS?

I wouldn't recommend it even if it could be done as increasing rear grip will likely further increase under steer, which is what this car is biased towards.

Not to mention it would create a slightly off-spec sidewall angle that would change the stability and feel of the tire under hard cornering.

If you just gotta have 265 / 325 f/r, go w/ the RS.

I like how you think, and that's a brilliant excuse that I can sell to the wife

At -2.5 deg of front camber there is a good bit of room for the wheel and tire to come out. I'm betting a 265 would fit up front. Assuming there is no more inboard room it's likely possible to go with a wider wheel at a lower offset and/or just going a lower offset to fit the wider tire.

DO IT.

With an already good stock suspension, great aero, great power, great brakes, adding more contact patch is the simplest way to add grip and perhaps lower lap times.
